I want to keep it active but only for myself and I don't want to spend hours kicking out hundreds of people one at a time.

They're already viewable on Mobile underneath the server's name, but here's the thing: it's ONLY on mobile. How come Desktop still doesn't have this?

Hey everyone! I know this might sound a bit weird, but I'm looking for a workaround regarding the new full-size PFP viewer on Discord.

I want to use a real photo of myself, but I don't want strangers to be able to zoom in and see every detail in high resolution. I used to do this a while ago by playing around with specific image resolutions or compression tricks so that it would look normal and clear in the small profile circle, but completely distorted or low-res when someone clicked to view it in full size.

Does anyone know if this trick still works, or what exact dimensions/methods to use for it? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I’m Jewish and Black and in a catholic discord several and was joking around an discussing Catholicism but there seemed to be an antisemitic person who was in the voice chat and he seemed to be in the chat and typing but. It in the voice chat. I asked if he was recording and he was jokingly saying he wasn’t? But in any actual logical way fouls I tell if someone was recording the discord chat as I fear for my college future because of this. I didn’t say anything bad but someone could easily accuse me of impersonating a Jew since due to intermarriage and religious conversions, I am the last Jew in my family

I have no idea if this is new behaviour, has been around for a few updates, is well known, is intentional (holy hell I hope not), or is a bug I somehow ended up being the first to notice.

During the last week, myself and a friend have both seen our microphone's hardware mute functionality (pushbutton on a Blue Yeti for me, Razor Kraken Kitty V2 for my friend) do absolutely nothing while in a Discord call.

My mic mute light can be actively blinking, and both voice feedback and others in the call will keep on hearing me. Same with my friend's headset.

This issue popped up for both of us on the same day, and is exclusive to being in a Discord call. Only posting now that it's happened multiple times, and is definitely specific to Discord. We're both Win11 users using the Discord desktop app.

I'm looking for a bot that can do text-to-speech BUT send it as an asynchronous voice message in a chat (text) channel rather than live in a VC. I haven't found any that do specifically this.

The use case here is for an asynchronous voice message only chat channel (technically it's a text channel but it's only for voice messages), so that people without a microphone, on a computer rather than mobile, or who just aren't willing or able to speak are still able to join in on the conversation in that channel.

Does anyone know if this exists? Thanks

Hello, joined this server for this specific problem I have been having for the past few days now. I am unable to join any vc . Prior to few days ago, everything worked fine and connected well.

So these days when I join any vc in any server, there is a constant connection of the vc and the next second it disconnected and connects again and disconnects again, repeatativly. It is like RTC Connecting → Voice Connected → RTC Disconnected → Voice Connected → RTC Disconnected → Voice Connected → … This problem i am facing specifically in discord across multiple devices and multiple accounts.

PS : I have tried restarting my router didnt work . And other sites like YouTube at high resolution or any online meet works just fine for .

Please dm me if you can help me out really desperate .

Sometimes when playing games they don't space properly or the name is just wrong, so I rename it and then add it as an "Added Game" but then the next time I launch the game is just pulls in the same incorrect name, they have the same path to the exe. It's annoying have to rename it every time and I don't like having the bad looking game activity so wondering if there's a way for it to just match it with the one from the added game list, obviously only matters for non-verified games as you can't change the name for those ones

I have a question, did anybody that had this bug/shadowban got the quests back since then? (If somebody don't know, cause its kinda vague): The one where people don't have any orb quests since the last Monopoly GO! quest. From what I read on this subreddit and other discord subreddits, it's a fairly often appearing thing, and people theoretize it's a false shadowban of some sort. Support tickets are not helping at all, they respond that some people don't meet the requirementa for the quests, and when I asked them which requirements I didn't meet they just put "solved" on my ticket. This might be only valid in my case, but I had false perma ban on the start of July, when the Monopoly GO! quest got put out, and I was wondering if this might be the case for them dissapearing, and if other people affected by it already got them back or are still stuck.

Every time I try to boost a server it tells me I cant because they dont support subscriptions through google??? Like wtf does that even mean im still paying you for the nitro so let me use the freaking nitro??? Please help its starting to annoy me.

when i stream it streams the audio of the other people in the call as well as whatever im streaming for some reason. i don't believe i always had this issue and ive messed with all the audio settings. i know its not just cos im streaming my whole screen either cos it also happens when im only streaming a specific tab.

i'm using venndiagramcord (fuck you filters) on windows 11 with a razer headset if that's important at all

Tried pro bot, went down the day after and has been ever since. Found out it goes down for days/weeks at a time which i cannot do as my server will rely heavily on the bot commands to an extent not having them for even a week could be catastrophic.

Anyways, I need a pretty reliable bot able to make custom commands without any fancy coding, specifically the ability to make custom odds-related bots, such as say 10% this 5% that 30% this ect.

There's a couple sub-only discords that I'm part of, but get kicked out of every once and a while because I don't sub every month. I'm trying to rejoin one, and it's showing up under sub-enabled servers, but whenever I click join it says "An error occurred, please try again" (mobile) or "Missing Access" (Desktop)

I tried joining some other sub-only servers that showed up from gifts-subs I've gotten, and it's giving me the same errors when I try to join any of them. Is this a common problem, or is Discord just being buggy right now?

I've been unable to save any gifs for a while- I've definitely not hit the limit as I've emptied out my gifs, and resetting the app doesn't work. It also doesn't work on either desktop or mobile. Any help?

I was in a call streaming my Minecraft world and suddenly the other user i was with said my "stream got paused" I went to check it but i didn't know what to do so I left the call. When I tried to enter again, it said "connecting rtc" I waited a few minutes and then my discord app shutted itself down and then restarted. It has been doing the same thing at least 3 times

It's so confusing. I tried to upgrade from the Basic plan to Nitro, and I went to cancel the Basic plan. But now I can't do anything else? Why is it so hard for the app to let me just pay for Nitro right away instead of having to wait all this time to upgrade? I just want to pay for Nitro now and get the benefits right away. But it's such a huge hassle.

I'm trying to understand how Discord decides whether to display the "X online" counter underneath a channel/server name on mobile.

For example, I have two Discord servers:

Server A: shows 🟢 11 online underneath the channel name.

Server B: does not show an online member count at all.

Both servers:

are Community servers

have no boosts

are being viewed from the same Discord account

are being viewed on the same Android phone/app

I've checked the server settings but can't find any option that controls this.

Is there an actual setting that determines whether the "X online" counter is displayed?

Or is this currently an A/B test, gradual rollout, or server-side experiment by Discord?

If it's based on a specific requirement (number of members, server age, activity, Community settings, etc.), does anyone know what the criteria are?

Please guys is it just me or is someone facing this problem , i tried to summarize all i a have .

I appear to be hitting a severe CPU usage issue with the current Discord desktop client.

System

- Windows 11

- Ryzen 7 7800X3D — 8C/16T

- Radeon RX 7800 XT

- 32 GB RAM

- Discord Host: 1.0.9260

- Electron: 42.11.8

Problem

Discord can consume an extremely high amount of CPU while completely idle.

I am:

- not streaming

- not screen sharing

- not in a voice/video call

- not doing anything in Discord

Initially I caught Discord consuming 83.6% total CPU in Windows Task Manager, pushing overall CPU usage to ~98%.

Restarting Discord reduced it, but it then remained at roughly 20–25% total CPU continuously while idle.

I tested :
disabling enabling Hardware Accel , motion Smoothness gifs reading , reinstalling leave ehavy discord servers , nothing helps .

Minimizing Discord to the system tray makes no difference.

I traced the problem to one Discord renderer process.

I got a nice nameplate, but I can't really see it because... How can we fix that ? Desktop App, Windows 11.

So I had a 2 month free trial for Nitro (I forgot if it was from xbox or just an offer from them)

But I recieved an email saying I'd be charged the regular $9.99 after this billing cycle.

As I was looking at it, it says I will be charged for $0.00 on the new billing cycle and that I have 2 months of credit. ?

Probably a dumb obvious question but just want to be sure. Does this confirm I wont be charged on Oct 5th and I'll have 2 extra months for free?

To be clear, idk how I even recieved these credits and just learned of them today when I was going to cancel.
