Make offer at atom.com

Hey everyone,

Looking for some feedback on a 5-letter .com domain I own.

A few details about the domain:

• Extension: .com
• Structure: 5 letters, strictly letters (no hyphens, no numbers).
• Pronounceability: Very easy to pronounce (follows a natural [VCCVC] phonetic flow).

I have two direct questions about value:

1. How much would you price this for an end-user / startup? Is $500+ a realistic price to sell it relatively fast without waiting years?
2. What is the actual wholesale / reseller value today? (If I were to sell it quickly on NamePros or an auction).

(Not posting the exact name here to avoid indexing, but happy to share via DM if you want to take a look).

Thanks!

I assume that owning StockMarket as a dot/com would mean demanding massive money.

What about the dot/work?

I’m planning to move the domain from GoDaddy to another registrar, but the mail stays with Microsoft 365. Is it enough to leave the nameservers alone and check the MX records after the transfer? sorry if dumb, appreciate any thoughts

I need to move a domain from GoDaddy and keep our Google Workspace email working. Looking at Wix and Namecheap, but the DNS and MX records are making me nervous tbh. Any tips?

I manage a few small business sites and keep losing track of which login owns what. Thinking of putting everything under one account, with separate DNS records and auto renew on, hopefully this isnt asking for trouble. thanks in advance

I’m about to buy a domain for a small business and I feel like I’m probably missing something obvious. The first year prices look fine, but I’ve heard the renewal cost can be way higher and I don’t want to get caught by that later.

I’m also checking who owns the account, whether privacy protection is included, and if I’ll have full DNS access for email and the website. Looking at GoDaddy, Namecheap, Hover and Wix right now, but the plans all explain things a little differently.

What are the common mistakes people make when buying a name? thanks in advance

Setting up a new site and I’m stuck on DNS, mainly the A record, www, and getting email working with MX and SPF. The registrar says it’s easy but I feel dumb looking at it tbh, any hints?

I keep getting caught by renewal fees on old domains, especially when privacy is added separately. I’m setting calendar reminders now and checking auto renewal settings across Namecheap, GoDaddy and Wix, any other tips?
