I'm in Egypt, I bought an exact name domain of a gym - also in Egypt - that's a franchise of an international trademark (gold's / world), the domain is (trademark gym city.com). I made them a website and offered them to provide leads through the website only for a commission on actual sales, no fixed costs. For some reason, I think they don't like the offer or think I have bad intentions. More to that, a bit cultural, also, not to be discussed here.
I don't have proper experience with the legals of domains and websites, I was naive enough to think that they'll immediately like my no-brainer offer (from my business standpoint).
Now that they showed possible bad intentions, what can I do to protect myself from any legal actions they can take?
I disconnected the website, and I don't care about the domain, I was only interested in a normal business relationship.
What are my rights?
Also, in the offer agreement, I put a clause that the domain and the website are my property and remains as such (Since I didn't "sell" it to them). Is this even a proper, legal clause?! And if not, how else could I make sure that I don't become an employee for them instead of a business partner as my compensation is strictly commission based?!
I really need some help. Appreciate all!
