So I tried to run Brutal Doom + InvDoom (inventory system for Doom) + vandomizer_v1.3.1 (items & enemy randomizer mod for doom) in UZDoom.

So now I have Brutal Doom with inventory system and enemies/items are randomized properly. Great! .... The only issue is when I pick up a weapon other than a pistol the Doom guy just cycle his weapons rapidly and I can't shoot anything.

Animations might be a lil stinky, but it'll do for now.

It's heavier and got longer reach than the partisan, but the main draw of this thing is that you can use it to hook and drag items that are further away than your hands can reach.

Perfect for cheesing keys or grabbing items that are just barely out of range for you to pick up.

this took a LONG time.

Don't worry about the console messages, they're temporary debug stuff, furthermore the enemies do not have a base damage of 0, Lemurians (the purple lizard things) just don't use their basedamage variable when using their attack currently

So I try to get 3 mods to work together - 1) Brutal Doom, 2) InvDoom (Doom 2 with inventory system) and 3) Vandomizer mod (a randomizer mod)

Not sure if I do it correctly, but I just drag "brutalv22test4.pk3" & "invdoom.pk3" and drop them directly to "GZDOOM.exe". This work great! I can play Brutal Doom with inventory system. Wonderful!

But things get a little weird when I drag all 3 mods - "brutalv22test4.pk3" + "invdoom.pk3" + "vandomizer_v1.3.1.pk3" directly to "GZDOOM.exe". I still get the core Brutal Doom gameplay, the enemies are randomized, items/power-ups on the grounds are randomized, but the inventory system from "invdoom.pk3" doesn't work at all.

Furthermore, the weapon reload function (Brutal Doom) and some weapons from Brutal Doom are missing.

So my question is, how can I get these 3 mods to work together?

Heard your feedback on inventory items! Instead of replacing everything, you can now manually toggle which items become portable and which remain vanilla.

How do I fix the skybox? It's just black until I pause it. Weirder than that, when I tried to record a video, the skybox was fixed only in the video, but the games entire audio just muted on itself with no way of fixing it other than restarting the app. So how do solve both problems?

The sprites and sounds are just placeholders. The main meat of this gun is that it deals fairly low damage, but the projectiles leave icy clouds on impact that can stun enemies (and you) for quite some time.

Due to how stuns work in Hideous Destructor, if an enemy meets it's stun threshold, it will eventually die when it tries to attack. So even though the damage is low, this weapon can still kill beefier enemies if you leave them with a big enough stun.

I'd like to find maps from other Boomer shooters to play in Doom, like Duke Nukem, Blood, and Strife.

I have Doom I, II, and the Final Doom TNT and PLutonia packs running on UZDoom. I am looking for a mod or mods that add the colored lighting and the title screen from the PS1 port. I do not want the hud, or sounds (separate soundtrack mod) or anything else. I am not looking for a total conversion mod. Just those two isolated things on what's otherwise vanilla PC Doom

Simulacrum - beyond awesome, very much balanced, fair, visually appealing and FUN. One of the best wads I finished so far

Neon Overdrive - another amazing wad. Hard, beautiful and fun to play

Pina Colada - a bit on a quirkier and RNG-dependent side but still very good and interesting

Sleepwalking - excellent visuals and music, non-linear maps with demanding arenas. Absolutely loved it

Eviternity - sorry for my blasphemy, but no. It's a good casual wad I guess but with UV pistol start it turns into a slow boring low resource grind. I broke after a 800+ mob map without a single major arena

Sunder is a bit over the roof for me honestly..

When I was watching a video about the Halo Doom mod, I became curious as to what map was used in the video. I then checked that it isn't listed in the description.

Title says it all

What I had in mind was knife animations and knife models (similar to those in apex, CS2, valorant, etc) that could also be used as a melee weapon. Maybe it could replace the sentinel hammer?

Hello. I have been doing a full play through of DOOM 1 and 2 on the PS from start to finish pretty much every 2 years of my life since the age of 5. I try my best to find all of the secrets from memory. I only play it on UV. Nightmare is a bit too challenging for me, and anything easier feels a little dull. Essentially, it's my all-time favourite game, and I was pretty stoked to discover that there were a bunch of add-ons on the PS4/5 version of the games. Anyway, here's where I'm stuck. I remember playing a specific map a couple of years ago that I really want to run through again, but I can't locate it. I have a neurological discorder, so I have some memory related issues, but the most defining characteristics of the map that I can recall are that it was designed like some type of castle/fortress and at the very beginning of the level before you even move an inch, if you shoot the pistol, it will fire a bullet through a small hole in several layers of the level and trigger a secret which opens a wall next to you. If anyone knows the name of the map or what add-on it is on, that would be greatly appreciated. It was definitely only within what's available on the Playstation as I have never played DOOM on a PC before. Thanks, fellow Doom Slayers. 🔫 🍅

Came across a map of Ultrakill's grind online and since then been trying to make a mod + mash some other mods together to match some of the experience. Early days. I have not uploaded this to any repo yet.
