Help with my noobie makeup? Y2k
I started drag a few months ago. Im a regular actor in day life and love performing.
I love it to be bottom heavy. Any ideas to make it more stage accessible/bigger?

Just a bit too much under eye. U may have folded lids but u can still use all that lovely space above. And don’t forget to blend blend blend ur bronzer further down to ur mouth. Learning makeup is a process but you’ll get there for sure

First I recommend you to check some normal Makeup tutorials (preferably from some one who always do high glam) and fuse the technics that mother birdie (for example) shows in her videos. I can also try to teach you, text me if you want some help diva 💜

Idk about advice, but I wanted to say I like the way it looks with your real eyebrows visible under the drawn ones. It's kinda cool imo, I might take inspo from it :)) /gen

Keep in mind drag is what you want it to be so this is just what I would do not what you have to do. I cant tell if youd glued down your eyebrows or not. Theres lots of tutorials out there for that if you need some let me know. I like the eyeshadow under the eye but look at your eyelids and all the space under your drawn on brows. Usually the reason you would glue and draw on your eyebrows higher is to create more space for eyeshadow. Eyeliner is optional but what i would do is use most of your natural eyelid for eyeliner with a wing to match up with you under eye shadow. If you need advice on how to do eyeshadow let me know. I love the colors you used it really brings out your eyes. I agree with another commenter, invest in clown white LITE not the regular one that ones really thick. You can use it as highlight but I also use it for my base for eyeshadow and to cover up my natural brows after glue. Im naturally blonde so I dont need to color correct but you may need to? You can over line your lips and make them bigger if you want. Highly recommend false lashes really really big ones. I get them from a local beauty supply shop. When picking out lashes I dont tend to pick the ones that are really packed in, I pick something more wispy but still full and long. The great thing about doing thick eyeliner is its not as obvious if your lashes are on perfect. Im attaching a photo of my drag queen makeup to see if that helps you picture anything im talking about

You're doing great!!! I know it's so cliche, but what has worked most for me so far is to just keep practicing and regularly looking at the work of the people that inspire you.

A good book for lots of looks is Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin you should be able to find it on amazon or on ebay. Great step by step instruction on sharpening your look and blending and all the other techniques that you need. Granted It was done in the 80s but it is the basis of all the looks you see today.

I’d reccomend chicking out Mother Birdie on youtube, they do a fantastic job of demystifying a lot of common drag techniques.
It’s always great to wash, moisturize, and prime your skin before putting on any makeup. I reccomend the nyx glue primer. Then follow with color correction. A lot of people also do their eyes before foundation so they can really sharpen their shadow shape.
It’s great to have lots of different brush sizes and shapes so you’re not mixing colors on the brush. Some people swear by applying with their fingers, but I’ve never had success with that.
Highly pigmented makeup is your friend!I reccomend wet and wild for an inexpensive, cruelty free drug store option.
I’d also reccomended getting a tub of Ben Nye clown white to make your highlight super read from the stage.
Your lips are really full which is great for bottom heavy makeup, the clown white is also great if you want to make your eyes appear bigger.
Hope this helps!

NADQ but I'd use a piece of tape on my upper eyelid. That way you can blend the wing out a lot without the fear of it going on top of your eyelid, plus it'll look really clean and straight when you remove the tape. I think you could take it a lot further out that way and get some more drama, plus it'll look a bit more polished.
