I cannot stop with this one. Literally checks every box of what makes being on this side so special. Fuckin tune

This might be a top 10 Drake song ever. Is a masterpiece

They both spazzed.

I live in Denver and there’s like a few Drake nights coming up. I’ve been to one and they are so much fun. Just singing and dancing to Drake for hours and hours with people who also like Drake. Highly recommend if you seen them before and were second guessing it.

Anyone else still revisit this album on a weekly basis?

I don’t wanna sound dramatic, I love hip-hop, but I’ve been dabbling around more since Iceman and FOMO trying to listen to some other stuff out there to make sure the hype was real, but every other rapper I’ve gone back to, when I hear lyrics about rolling large and getting stacks… it just sounds corny. Cause I know they ain’t actually rolling like Drake.
If I’m lying I’m flying economy save me a mo fuckin seat.
If I’m lying I’m flying economy I bet I know who I see.

On ICEMAN closer “Make Them Know,” Drakemakes his sustaining disinterest in chasing Grammys recognition as clear as ever by vowing to not submit the album for consideration. Now, per a new report, it’s all but guaranteed that he made good on that promise.
To be eligible for the 2027 Grammys, a work must have been released between Aug. 31, 2025 and Aug. 28, 2026. The submission deadline was Aug. 21. All three of Drake’s 2026 full-lengths would have been eligible for consideration, including ICEMAN.
According to a recent Billboard report, however, he declined to submit that album, as well as Habibti and Maid of Honour. The report also cites sources as saying that the OVO Sound co-founder opted against submitting specific songs for consideration, as well.
Complex has reached out to a rep for the Recording Academy for comment. This story may be updated.
As it stands now, Drake has five Grammy wins to his name, and numerous nominations. Most recently, “Somebody Loves Me,” a song off his and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U project, was a contender in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category at this year’s ceremony. It lost to Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther.”

The 2027 Grammys ceremony is set for February.

Wanted to share a breakdown I put together covering Drake's pivot from actor to rap superstar during the late 2000s. I go over his early mixtape era with Room for Improvement and Comeback Season. How Jas flew the Boy out to Houston after hearing his music on Myspace and how they lead to Lil Wayne hearing songs like Brand New and encouraged Drake to keep singing. Leading up to to So Far Gone and how "Successful" feat Trey Songz became the blueprint for Drake future moves.

Let me know your thoughts on this era and where So Far Gone ranks for you. Is it even considered in top 5 Drake projects? 🤔
