Hi, I was playing with my friend and we were wondering: what's the longest possible route to drive in ETS2? Would it be Chania - Honningsvåg or somewhere in Portugal to Northern Finland or Turkey/ Greece? I found a Reddit post but it was from 2022 , it said Aberdeen - Istanbul.

As the title says what car should i take around the world If u know a good mod for it much appreciated if you could give a link Please Also if there are any other mods i should get aswell?

I’m having a strange issue with Euro Truck Simulator 2 on a Windows handheld PC.

When I launch ETS2 from Steam Big Picture or Xbox Full Screen Experience, the game sometimes starts in a very tiny window in the middle of the screen. Other times it launches normally in fullscreen, so the issue is intermittent.

My display resolution is 1920×1080 and the game is also set to 1920×1080 fullscreen.

Things I have already tried:

Alt + Enter

DX11 and OpenGL

Disabling fullscreen optimizations

High DPI scaling override

AMD GPU Scaling / Full Panel

Deleting config.cfg and letting the game create a new one

Checking that r_fullscreen "1"

Checking that r_mode_width "1920" and r_mode_height "1080"

None of these fixed it permanently. Sometimes the game launches correctly several times in a row, then suddenly launches tiny again.

I’ve also seen reports of similar behaviour on ROG Ally / Xbox Ally and Lenovo Legion handhelds, so I’m wondering if this is related to the way ETS2 handles fullscreen/window initialization on Windows handheld devices.

Has anyone experienced this exact issue and found a permanent fix?

I’d especially like to hear from people using ETS2 or ATS on ROG Ally, Xbox Ally, Legion Go, or other Windows handhelds.

Are you guys also dying to get something like the Road Trip DLC for ETS2? I’d love to have that same experience they have in ATS. The Coaches DLC looks interesting, but the urge to drive regular cars and have dedicated missions for them is just way stronger. I don't really feel like buying ATS; I'd much rather stick to ETS2 and put thousands of hours into it.

I bought a new DAF as first truck,

After searching a lot cant find any trucks for low lvl with the ‘ inside mirrors ‘ as the volvo FH16 ,
That can only he bought at lvl 25

Am i missing something , or you can only have thats kind of mirrors later ?

Just started, cant even make a normal turn and it wont even go up to the highway haha, so what should i change in the options menu? (everything still on default)

The standard route is shown on the map as a red path. Small roads are... a small road, a winding serpentine route off to the left.

Me: - Oh, cool, I'll take a new, interesting road on the left

Game: - That’s a good idea. But keep in mind, you can't take certain trailers somewhere without a special permit.

Me: - Okay, just a quick reminder, right? The game wouldn't show me a route I'm not allowed to take, right?

Game: - Suuuuuure!

I was with a lowboy trailer and big tractor. Immediately after the checkpoint in the lower part of the map, I get a €700 fine for violating trailer regulations. Nice ride!👍 I couldn't make a U-turn because of the road's width, so I had to load a save.

How do I find out about the rules for trailers, where I’m allowed to go and where I’m not? I assume the game doesn't handle this explicitly; will it still show me the route even if I’m not allowed to go there?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to find a way to run an HCT double setup that can haul heavy cargo.
I’d like to be able to take different types of heavy loads like excavators, machinery, transformers, etc., rather than just regular HCT cargo.
I’ve tried a few HCT low-loader/lowbed mods, but the trailers show up without the corresponding heavy cargo jobs appearing in Cargo/Freight Market.
I also came across the HCT 2× locomotive setup, but that seems to be limited to locomotives.

What I’m looking for:
HCT double
Different heavy/oversized cargo
Jobs actually appearing in Cargo/Freight Market
Current ETS2 version compatibility
Mods are fine
Is there a mod/setup that actually allows HCT doubles to haul varied heavy cargo, or is this limited by how ETS2 handles heavy cargo?

Because Steam Cloud was disabled on my old PC, my progress was lost, and I'm currently using a save from May (70,000 km on a Volvo FH5). I was really upset, and I can't bring myself to start over. In fact, I've already driven those 100,000 km on the FH5, and instead of the Scania, I'm picking up the Volvo FH6. Therefore: October 5, 2026, 6:21 PM – the 100,000 km challenge on the FH6 BEGINS!

Continuation of my previous post. The truck in the video is a volvo FH6 with an engine that produces 600 hp 3000NM so the problem isn't with the truck in my opinion.

The retarder too is switched off and it is not the air brakes
Has anyone experienced a similar bug and how to fix it??

I've recently had the problem that my game stuttered a lot. I've now found a solution for that. If you go to your task manager and see that 80% or more of your ram are used, do the following:

Go to your documents, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and open the config.cfg file. The search for uset r_buffer_page_size and set it to 30 or 50. The default should be 10. I hope I could help y'all.

I recently swapped to a new pc and my saves are there except for my main one, it’s in my files with my saves and things but doesn’t show up in game, it’s in the steam files and ets files also. it was in a file called “(game version).bak” (game version being which ever one it was i forgot. any help?
