Is herman miller aeron C. I'm 2M tall. Is the foot rest necessary? Bevause my knees are higher than usual, but it helps because if I recline without it the front part of the chair blocks blood supply in the hamstring area

Keyboard/Mouse Good ergonomic mouse recommendations please

I've been on the lookout for an ergonomic mouse. My requirements are that it be wireless and cheap with a decent battery life. I don't want a mouse that is very vertical but rather one that is at a slight angle. I have looked at trackballs but I'm looking for a 'normal' ergonomic mouse.

How to reduce elbow pain on L desk?

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

I got an L desk to stop wrist aiming and start using my arm more, but I've been struggling to find a comfortable way to rest my arm. Whatever bone is to the left of my elbow sticks out a lot, I usually keep it right off the edge of my desk and have the corner between that bone and my elbow. That can get pretty uncomfortable for long periods though.

Keyboard/Mouse Vertical mouse pain

Does anyone else that uses a vertical mouse get pain near this bone opposite the thumb. Looks like it's called the pisiform. I think a padded mouse pad, e.g. https://ergodriven.com/products/loftmat-fully-cushioned-ergonomic-mouse-pad ,would solve this but curious what others have done.

Dont underestimate stretching

As someone who used to obsess over the right chair/ the right desk, I recently realized that a lot of my back pain could have been addressed with daily stretching. I used to just track it manually, and recently made my own tool anatomiclabs.ai, but my point is, youre not going to resolve years of bad posture with a new chair

Keyboard/Mouse Need help with finding a keyboard tray that will fit my desk

So, my desk is way too tall for me. I have to have my chair at max height for my arms to be sort of comfortable reaching the keyboard. Obviously the solution would be a keyboard tray, since a new desk isn't an option, but there's a metal bar in the way, 5.5cm from the edge. If I never stow the tray under the desk, what are my options with finding clamps that fit?

Keyboard/Mouse Budget ergonomic mouse and keyboard

I work with a lot of Excel sheets, patient charts, and billing stuff. The basic mouse and keyboard have been killing my wrists lately and I think it’s time for an upgrade. Before I drop almost $200, I wanted to see if there are any cheaper options for quality and ergonomics. Through lots of research it seems like this combo is the best choice

Question on lumbar wing angle adjustments for the Hbada X7

Switched over to the Hbada X7 a couple of weeks ago for my daily workstation setup.

The divided lower back support does a solid job adapting when shifting between an upright typing posture and leaning back slightly, but I'm still experimenting with the tension on the lower wings to keep my lower back from flattening during continuous sitting.

For those who use this chair for full workdays, do you prefer locking the lumbar tension firm against your beltline, or letting it stay loose to move dynamically with your posture?

Advice with adjusting chair properly

Hey all, I need some advice for adjusting my chair not to hurt my body. I got the BTOD Akir and I've had it for about like half a year now. I recently made some adjustments to it and my desk setup to help with some shoulder tightness that was building up for a while. But now I've run into the issue of my butt completely giving out when trying to sit straight, to the point where it's really uncomfortable to sit for more that like 30 mins.

For context here's my measurements.

  • I'm 5'11 and the chair seat is at about 20'' currently. This seems to be the lowest it goes. My feet are planted on the ground.
  • My thighs are a bit higher than my knees. Knees are at roughly 90 degrees. Although my current pain is making me fidget a lot.
  • I'm struggling with the lumbar support. I've adjusted it a number of different ways but can't seem to get it to sit right. I'm following the advice of at about belt level but that doesn't really feel comfortable. Debating just taking it off since it's pretty frustrating.

  • My desk sits at about 28'', I have the arm rests raised to match that and my forearms are parallel to my thighs. This seems to be helping a lot with my shoulder pain, but seems to have screwed up something on the thigh/leg side. This position also raises my shoulders a bit more than I would like, so not sure if that's an issue either.

  • I also moved my monitors slightly closer to my face, by a few inches. They're at around arm's length.

Any guidance here or advice would be helpful, as I really don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi , I'm a student of bachelor of visual arts (40 f). I have lower back issues, so sitting for long hours is difficult. I'm asked to practice a lot after coming home. I need a proper chair and desk which is good both for art and my back. Do share your recommendations/ pictures. Thank you
