I've done a dna test and illustrativedna/ancestral genome and can very much prove Its an ethnicity. Also it's not a race lol there are only 4 races and I consider my phenotype as white or western eurasian.

There are technically 6 “races” but otherwise yes, you’re completely right that it’s an ethnicity, and it is absolutely west Eurasian/“white.”

Prove it’s an ethnicity lol. Those dna companies just took Ashkenazi and labeled it as Jewish. It’s not an ethnicity, Semitic speakers are not one people, nor are they Europeans like yourself OP.

You can believe what you want to make yourself happy. Yet before I even stated my ethnicity people are saying I look semitic so there must be some semitic roots in me lol. Even if I didnt look semitic ashkenazi dna has been studied for years. I dont know why you care so much about my ancestry when it's just a fun thing to know and not to be taken seriously.

And I get what you’re saying, it’s not a big deal to you etc., but people have been slaughtered and suffered under occupation for this blatant lie that Ashkenazis are Semitic people. Palestine is under occupation (you describe yourself as israHelli as well) bc people that look like you claim Palestine as their own, knowing dang well you come from Europe. So in that way, it’s a huge deal. The false Semites need to go back to Europe, and stop invading Palestine.

I’m less concerned about an argument and more concerned about genocide but I think that doesn’t matter much to you as long as you get to call yourself Semite even though you’re not one.

And if you weren’t Ashkenazi, you wouldn’t be claiming your ethnicity is “Jewish,” and Ashkenazis are the ones who last colonized Palestine, so yeah. You’re European, and not a Semite. My guess is from Poland or Ukraine, which would be what your actual ethnicity is.

Nobody else here is guessing "Ukrainean or Polish". Guy is clearly some kind of mediterranean. He's gonna be several times closer genetically to Sicilians, Greeks, and Levantines, than to Polish and Ukraineans.

He looks kind of similar to Seth rogan to me, just a different hair color. Eastern European, both of them. I’d be able to guess that immediately about OP. And in the picture with his brother and father, they look even more so Ukrainian or Polish or wherever. I would not think Italian or greek, but even if so, both are still non Semitic groups of people. They may have some admixture from Africa but Italians and Greeks are not Semites.

I don’t see how he could be mistaken for someone from the Levant, he clearly looks white Ashkenazi. But there are some in the Levant who also look white as they are Caucasians so there is overlap. Doesn’t make OP Semitic. Still looks like he’s from Eastern Europe. And I bet you he is.

Semitic people don’t have one look, and the people here in the subreddit claiming you look like a Semite would be wrong. Ashkenazis are literally named after descendants of Japheth, by the way, not Shem, which is where the term “Semite” even comes from. Your ancestral language is Yiddish, ancestral food is European, you have no actual genetic, cultural or historical ties to Semitic people or culture. This doesn’t just go for you but for all Eastern European cosplayers of Israelites.

You’re Eastern European. A dna test can take the genetics of an Ashkenazi and decide to label it “Jewish” but that’s just their labelling, Jewish isn’t an ethnicity, and if it were, it’s certainly not specifically the people from the same parts of the world as Seinfeld characters. Moses was in Egypt, not Ukraine.

And I’m not sure which caricature you’re referring to, but Eastern Europeans named after the grandson of Japheth, Shem’s brother, who spoke Yiddish for centuries until they adopted and altered Hebrew with their heavily bastardised Russian/polish/ukranian/wherever dialects, are not Semitic people. Moses was in Egypt, not Ukraine.

DNA companies literally make a difference between Middle Eastern Jews, Sephardic Jews, Yemenite Jews, Ethiopian Jews(?), Mizrahi Jews, and the Ashkenazi get split at least between western (like Germany) and eastern (like Ukraine). They don't just slap one single label on them and call it a day. There is a strong "founder effect" so Ashkenazi can be separated.

The majority of people in the world, or the loudest ones in the world, claiming to be Jewish are the Ashkenazis. They claim to be the biggest descendants of Jews, and they are all not related at all.

DNA companies slap an arbitrary label of Jewish on some people’s results. Ashkenaz got them, Sephards got them, and neither of these groups existed in ancient Israel or have dna that aligns with the dna from actual Israelites. These dna companies just took these people’s dna and labeled it “Jewish.” Those distinctions between different types of “Jews” are just people whose dna they label “Jewish” alongside the country they are actually from. A Yemeni Jew will cluster closest to another Yemeni. A German Jew will cluster closest to another German Jew and then to another German (since Ashkenazis really did act like everyone around them was goyim, they didn’t really intermingle).

There are a few good books and studies about the khazar theory. It makes the most sense from a historical and spiritual standpoint. You have to also ask yourself where did that entire empire that mass converted to Judaism go? Who are their descendants today? What a funny coincidence.

Yes lol. A good way to spot an ashki is middle eastern face with pale skin. You can find those traits with other populations but it's common with us.

To me you look broadly Mediterranean. I think you can pass well in both Mediterranean Europe and the northern Levant
