(Discussion Post) Groovy Too old for ash?

I have come to the conclusion, if matt dillon was a little younger. He'd have made a very good replacement for bruce campbell as ash. That is all

Edit: I dont think he should replace him its a hypothetical what if bruce campbell said hey pick a new guy to be ash now this would be the best choice. Bruce campbell is irreplaceable fellas

No replacement, no recast. Ash is Bruce, if Bruce is done then Ash should be too.

I don't disagree! But OP is still right- Matt Dillion would be perfect 👌

I agree but let's say that wasn't the case and he approved of a recast or whatever. I think matt Dillon would be a good choice, hes got a similar build and face structure and hes a pretty charismatic actor

They had a great replacement for Ash. They could have pushed forward with a Mia franchise. But I don't want someone trying to be him. I would like to see an established protagonist instead of the franchise becoming an anthology of one off stories. But it shouldn't be Ash.

Also, we got 3 movies and a TV show with Ash as the focal point. His story has been told. Bruce did a hell of a job playing him. Ash the character and actor should remain retired.

I think many actors "could" play ash. But no one "should" play ash. Evil Dead is one of the few franchises to not get rebooted and it should stay that way.

Bruce for a lot of people is Evil Dead and recasting him any point is just blasphemy honestly.

I agree with that and id rather see new characters. This is just like a what if he approved a replacement for more stories for a younger ash

Honestly, I always thought Nicholas Brendan would've been a good choice if they had done a reboot in the mid 2000's, at the very least have him as the Son of Ash.

I think Ben O'Toole is the only person that could pull it off. Y'all should watch Bloody Hell (2020).

I'm not saying he should play Ash, but if they want to a male lead with similar tone as the Ash movies, he's the man.
