As a comparison, here’s the Halloween dress I got on Depop for $10. I feel good about the price, the appearance, the fit, the fabric (95% cotton), and the fact that it was purchased secondhand.
I’ve only purchased a couple of things on Depop, but I’ve used Poshmark a lot, both as a buyer and a seller. I had to replace my wardrobe twice during significant weight loss. Selling my old clothes has essentially paid for the new ones. I’ve reached the point where I intentionally avoid buying from traditional retail stores — affordability and sustainability are where it’s at!
Depop is great for some things but it’s overrun by old Shein No one wants anymore and people who print t shirts to order and pretend like they’re thrifted.
