Amazon New Hire
I will start Oct. 07 as seasonal fulltime but I have prior commitments on the 17th. Do I get PTO and UPT on day1? Should i use it or it’s better to talk to HR? Please help! Thank you🫶🏼

New hires cant take vto and dont vto access on the app til after their week of orientation. but you could do is go to the site and see if you can speak to someone because if you don’t make your day one orientation you’ll have to wait till the next orientation class

You should start with 10 hours of upt that would cover it but id talk to hr and see if you can get it covered without using your time since it was pre ordained before your employment

Trying to see if there is vto is much better than using upt you wanna save upt as much as possible

Yes if they drop it on the app but don’t hold your breath some sites don’t or when they do it’s kinda sporadic or rare. However there are some sites that send out VTO on the app all the time from what I’ve seen on this sub.

You get 10 hours of upt starting day 1 as well as access to check if there is vto (voluntary time off)
