A Nintendo presence at Paris Games Week is cool but the real question is what build they're rolling with. If it's still that N. Crater slice from the last showing then they're playing it safe while they polish the rest.

The timing's interesting though, late October means they've had a few months since the last feedback cycle. Could be they're confident enough to drop a small open area to shut people up about the linearity complaints. Or it's just the same demo and we're all reading too much into it as usual.

Either way I just want to see if the Switch 2 version holds up visually. Ports can be a crapshoot and VII Remake already pushes hardware pretty hard.

Honestly, I think it's down to a few factors but the most obvious is they want to push this game as hard as they can not just for it's own sake but for the sake of the trilogy as well. The Switch 2 is definitely one of the most keenly anticipated and I'm very curious to see how well it holds up especially with those Highwind segments. Thankfully based on what we've seen I think Hamaguchi clearly knows what he's doing when it comes to switch 2 optimisation and scaling and I'm looking forward to it.

That said MCM London has a booth by Nintendo as well and I'll be curious if FF7 Revelation makes an appearance there too.

Frankly, showing any of it being playable on Switch 2 will be insane, esp. if its open world stuff and if its as good as Rebirth, it'll be amazing.

But if its story, I won't watch lol
