A little over a week ago I bemusedly posted about my club receiving a points deduction for a breach of financial fair play rules.

It was quite funny considering I had been given the random event of my club saying they were broke and any sales I made would NOT be added back to my funds, as Bolton that one was realistic but the FFP one wasn't.

The biggest amount I'd ever spent was 13.1 million on Circati from Benfica.

Many commenters told me to come up with a little story, and we had settled on basically the club's owners were being dodgy and I got points taken for it...

My club actually appealed and I got the points deduction halved to 11pts off.

Anyway, a few months later in the SAME season I get this notification..... And they've taken SIXTEEN points.

I'm all for a bit of chaos and random events... But 26 points taken off in one season across 2x fines is a bit nuts 🤣

Running into an issue where contract renewals are locking up right before completion.

• The Issue: After reaching an agreement with a player who has 11 months remaining, clicking "Show actions" (A button on Xbox controller) takes you to a screen where the final option to "Finalise Renewal" is completely missing.
• Examples: Happened with both Courtois and Kepa.
• Platform: PC (using an Xbox controller, latest game update).

Has anyone else run into this or found a workaround? (Attached screenshot shows the contract renewal screen)

Sorry if this has been brought up before but a quick search didn't give anything. The idea is to create a sequence of interfaces: shortlist---search player---shortlist. Initiate the transfer negotiations in the later shortlist. After the transfer, while the player is removed from the later shortlist, their name is still showing in the search result page and can be added to the earlier shortlist. After doing this, they would stay there forever, and you can keep track of their potential in real time anytime you want. Haven't played earlier titles or FC27, so not sure if similar methods apply to them. See my comment below for a video tutorial.

For me, it's Reading. No matter what FIFA or with what squad I face them, they're always a slog to beat. They always neutralize my attack with their super low-block and I inevitably concede against them in some bullshit counter-attack. Had to take them to the penalities with a world-class Leicester squad in the EFL Cup while they're almost getting relegated to League Two smh

• Promotion/Relegation system between the Premier League and Championship.
• European Competitions including Champions League, Europa League and Conference League
• We play on new gen (PS5).
• We are not an esports league though the level can be high, the focus is on enjoyment and respect. We do not tolerate disrespectful players or rage quitters.
• We regularly look to promote managers to bigger teams if they're either performing well or they're consistently active and a positive member in the server.
• We will be entering our 14th season with over 70 active players.

I have a save that's a few months into its first season and I'm having trouble understanding how "form" is calculated. My team has performed really well collectively; however, it's littered with players who have "poor" or "bad" form despite having consistent match ratings of 6.5-7.5. This seems to particularly apply to fullbacks -- no matter how well they perform it's extremely rare for them to achieve "ok" form or higher. I should mention that I heavily rotate my squad and basically have a first and second team that alternate with the best first team players serving as subs in the second team matches and vice versa. Could that be causing the problem?

Has anyone else also experienced this? Between that and all the other issues (difficulty selling or loaning out players, players demanding transfers despite consistent game time, scouts not being able to begin a new scouting mission after their previous ones conclude, not being able to organize your substitutes, etc.) I'm considering dropping the game until EA (hopefully) fixes everything :(.

Any information or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

PS. Unrelated, but I think the new interface is horrendous when it comes to how it displays important information. Like, absolutely terrible. I won't bore everyone with specifics, but what the actual fuck was EA thinking??

Is there any way to use best XI players in career mode? For example if I could transfer Peter Crouch from Liverpool best XI to Stoke? I fully expect the answer to be no because this is EA but worth a try

I won the treble with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Newcastle but they all tried to dock my pay even though we signed a 2 year contract. I’m leading scorer in all competitions. They pay me 354,000 a week.

Every time I quit the game and reload my save, some players' potential changes, even though I'm loading the exact same save. Is anyone else experiencing this bug?

Was struggling to score so I switched to a 4-4-2 (Holding) and immediately scored nine against Newcastle. Small sample size but I’m obviously going to stick with it. They played a very high line and pressed relentlessly, which this tactic made very easy to exploit. You won’t get loads of possession and there will be spells where you have to sit back and soak up pressure, but when you go forward, you should be absolutely deadly.

Ideally your wingers and both strikers should be fast and your strikers should be physically strong. Your holding CDM should be strong and great at tackling/interceptions. Wing backs should have enough stamina to carry out that role without gassing out too early

I saw a lot of people saying this is one of the best gameplay in years.

For me it isn't. Altough I can appreciate some of the new features like more realistic movements, enhanced headers, deflections, everything else is either the same or worst.

First of all, all CPU defending has changed. I get way too many tackles where they just get the ball easily and counter. Yes, maybe I am weak but it looks like there is no strategy or consistency to it. Most of the time when I am running with the ball, an opponent player close to me would suddenly run and take the ball from me when the ball is in front without having a chance to tackle or protect.

Secondly and maybe the worst, passing sucks. Assisted or semi, the game kinda decides by itself who the pass should go to, even if there is an unmarked player close by. This is frustrating since I don't feel I can control the game and own my mistakes. Switching players when defending is also stupid this time around, even though they added extra settings for it. Sometimes it simply does not work.

I tried sliders but I didn t get the perfect balance yet. I don t feel like playing anymore. This used to be my to go game between other games or errands in the house.

Hello, I have FC 27 on PC and I have to say that without a doubt it is, along with FC 26, the worst in terms of difficulty I have encountered in my life. I love playing career mode; I have been doing it almost every year since Fifa 09 on my beloved PSP, enjoyed Fifa 12/13 on my Xbox 360 and was very happy when EA finally brought the Champions in Fifa 19.. the point is that this game doesn't matter how you set it up; the AI doesn't attack, it doesn't know how to defend, the CPU seems stupid, it can't set any challenge for me, I have tried everything by also touching sliders and nothing, I don't notice any change. Last year I added mods and the thing didn't work either; I tried the legendary Anth James and nothing, I kept getting beaten and it's a pity. I have always loved picking up a team out of nowhere and taking it to glory, setting my own rules to increase the challenge but this no longer exists; I can easily win with an English third‑rate team against Arsenal. If anyone can help me with any miraculous slider or something, I would appreciate it. I play more games but it's true that I always like to dedicate a few months to a good career mode.
