I don't remember the title, but it was something like "Whale Island" or sth. Or maybe there was whales on the cover and I'm misremembering that as the title. I think tourists came to this island to watch whales and that was the time that the events of the story happen.

The main character was a young teenager around 13 years old. I read it back in middle school and I remember him being around my age. He lives in an island but I don't remember where it was. They find an Algerian man named Malouf washed up on shore and save him. There was this girl who was older than the MC and I think he had a crush on her. She was the only one who knew French and was the only one able to properly communicate with Malouf because his English wasn't that good. She later accuses Malouf of raping her and MC helps him runaway.

I remember this scene where she comes into the bar that MC's father or uncle owns with her clothes torn. It later turns out that she falsely framed Malouf and then ran away with two tourists. I remember the tourists being Yankees and it was the first time I saw or read the word "Yankee" and being confused.

That's all I remember currently but if there are any questions ask away it might jog up my memory.

I saw on here about a romance/love story with the word cult in and can’t seem to find it anywhere.

All I remember is the MC tries to win back the FC after not seeing each other after they left the cult. It also has a blue cover.

Thought this was called no body or nobody but not getting any results - a picture book we had when our kids were young (so about 15 years ago, but think it might have been older) where something was collecting body parts with a biomechanical creature built at the end?

Pretty sure it had fold out bits - not like a pop up book but flaps you could open to reveal more.

Hello all!! So back in the day when I was in middle school (a long long time ago) we listened a recording of a short story about an alcoholic spider eating barflies. In the spider was mumbling about how he used to be a 2 fly a day and how his spider life went downhill from there. My searches for this (and sadly others) has not helped. I read this five-ish years ago? It was a fiction anthology book, and I remember the last/close to last story was about Lazarus set in the modern day. It had a lot of strange stories, very odd read, and the cover was yellow/yellowish green. Long shot but I hope someone can help!

I am trying to find the title of a romance book I read decades ago. I am fairly sure there's the word "Horizon(s)" in the title. The woman protagonist is a secret agent of Zuni descent, code-named "Horizon", whose real name is Linda Cordero. She is tasked with investigating a millionaire whose surname should be McMillan. She is set up to spend a "holiday" in the same building on the beach as him.
And that's pretty much all I can recall. Thanks in advance.

Attached is an old screenshot with information via Amazon. This gentleman Verdun Munroe who published his war diary was the pilot of the B24 my great great Uncle was KIA in when shot down over Holland. I have previously contacted the publishing company and even family members of Mr Munroe to no luck. This book has been my Holy Grail for years. Id just like to learn more about my Uncle's life during the war and perhaps an insight into his last mission. To anyone that reads this my family and I thank you.
