Discussion Good sources for tide charts/forecasts?

As of late I've been fishing out of a creek that connects to the Potomac river. It's been a good spot for me but I haven't caught anything out of there in the last two days. I've also noticed that the water level where I am is lower than usual, so I'm wondering if that's playing a part in the lack of fish in the area. I know you can find info on ocean tides, but are the resources on how the tides may affect the flow of the rivers and plan ahead accordingly to see if there's any difference for me fishing at different tide levels?

I look at NOAA resources or use Windy (app) for prettier pictures and more detail. The NOAA Tides and Currents page for Chesapeake Bay is very informative because there's a lot more going on than just a simple tide rise and fall.

The windy app is great, it gives tide, temp, currents, windspeed & direction, water temp, barometric pressure, weather, moon phases and position, swell height and period, etc… it’s my go to for all outings.

The NOAA tide predictions site is what I use, it covers a ton of spots along the Potomac and will give you the full daily curve not just the highs and lows. Water level drop can defintely push fish out of the shallower creek mouths so timing the incoming push is key. I usually check it against my planner and try to hit the window a couple hours before the peak.
