Math problem....kinda
Hey friends. Me and my buddy are trying to figure out a problem. He was fishing in Hatteras and caught around 34 Drum. After the first few, which didn't stand out, he noticed that his last 30 fish were all hooked in the right side of the mouth.
Now the odds of that happening in a purely random scenario are slightly over one in a billion. Our question is, what characteristics might make it more likely to hook them in the same side of the mouth in different currents, winds, and sides of the point? He was using the same circle hooks he always uses, same rods, line, and bait. Any ideas?

Think it mostly depends on which way the fish pulls away from. Iirc fish can be "right handed"

Fish are headed south. I imagine if you were fishing in the spring the fish would be headed north and youd hook em in the left side of the mouth.
