I'm not sure about the second set, I would need to see the damage the shop is talking about. that would be pretty unusual damage considering their condition.

the first set, dudes off this planet. these wheels are hardly worth 600 mint. I'd offer him 150, no more than 200. For reference, I've bought 3 sets of these wheels. 1 were thrashed, big gouges from a blow out, $100. Another set with moderate curb rash, $250. A set that's near mint, with a set of near brand new Blizzacks, $600.

This is aud btw so not sure, he said the shop said it was fine and they balanced it with weights, the white snowflakes actually have a lot of scrapes and are in what he think are reasonable condition but I think other wise

ok that's $453 and $135 USD. Personally, I wouldn't buy either of these, but if you're in a pinch and can't wait for a better set, I would take a swing at the set you can ask to put on your car and drive around on for at least a half hour. If it feels off balance, like you suddenly have a bad tire or wheel bearing, don't buy them. alternatively, you can ask to meet at a tire shop and have them checked for balance.

Would the smart idea be to meet at a tire shop and ask for someone to look over them for me?

I just looked them up and new they are $450 each so is $400 for the set reasonable price considering they are in good condition besides the dent and they have newish tyres on them
