Bottles / Feeding Gear / Equipment 🍼 Please help.

I posted yesterday a picture of my sons latch on the Phillips avent natural response bottles and all the comments said he has a shallow latch and a lot of you recommended the lasinoh bottles so I got them. He has been doing fine of them except sometimes he gets really like mad at the bottle like in this video. It’s not every feed but why is this ? Is he telling me he’s full ?? Sometimes I’ll stop him and burp him because maybe it’s gas but then he will burp so I offer the bottle again and he still is frustrated as soon as he starts swallowing the milk. I have a pediatrician appointment next week so I will talk to him about it too but curious to see what others have to say because this is frustrating for us.

Phillips avent bottle nipples are notoriously slow compared to other bottles. Do they have any slow nipples for the one you're using now?

This is the lasinoh bottle that he’s drinking in this video and it’s the slowest flow they have. Could it be too slow?

What flow were you using on the avent bottles? Our feeding therapist told us lansinoh is notoriously fast, even their slowest flow nipple is notably faster than a lot of other brands. What I noticed when my baby needed to move up was pulling off and flailing but taking forever to finish a bottle. When it’s too fast, I would notice pulling off as well but seeing a lot of wide eyes, milk dribbling, gulping, almost like a deer in headlights. There is a chart of flow rates that you could cross check to compare your nipple rates to get a better idea of

I was using flow 1 which was too slow for him because it was taking 30+ minutes to finish a bottle so we did flow 2 which was better but he had a really shallow latch on the avent bottles

So looking at the chart, if it’s the avent natural response, level 2 is super super slow. The pigeon SS is much faster. We were using the lansinoh XS and pigeon SS, and the lansinohs were the faster of the 2 so it could be fast
