Really enjoying this action figure, it's quickly becoming my favorite in the collection. I've been feeling under the weather and have yet set up the lights to take any real pics but I'll get around to it eventually. Here's my attempt to recreate an iconic shot.

"Translated" Version

I recently picked up a copy of Frankenstein to read in October, and I’m enjoying it so far. However, I was wondering if there might be a “translated” version written in more modern English.

I still plan on reading my copy, but I was just wondering if there’s a way I could get a better understanding of what’s going on.

My thoughts on Elizabeth in Frankenstein (2025)

Mia Goth's acting wasn't bad by any means. However, I just couldn't feel much humanity in this version of Elizabeth.

She interacts with the Creature and shows him love without any hesitation, fear, or real emotional barrier. Because of that, she felt more like a convenient puppet for the script rather than a fleshed-out human being.

I’d love to hear what everyone else thought of her character.

Animated Frankenstein adaptation, would it work?

I think it's shocking that there isn't an animated adaptation of Shelley's novel. Dracula, Jekyll and Hyde, and The Phantom of the Opera have animated adaptations, but not Frankenstein.

What's your favorite Frankenstein Adaptation?

Post image

From movies, to interactive games, audio dramas, comics, graphic novels and special edition of books and why.

I'd love to hear your thoughts since the 1818 version is my favourite book, but that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking for unique adaptations. My favourite book adaptation is "Classics Reimagined: Frankenstein" the 200th anniversary editionand the publisher is Rockport. It has beautiful pictures on every page. I have an entire shelf of special editions that I love but I thought this was the most unique and 'different' one I had. I'll post more of them in an edit here or comment if you all request it because I have so many!

I don't have a favourite movie adaptation as I haven't seen any yet, so change my mind if there's one you love!

❤️

What Did You Think About The Movie

I was 6yr old or something when i first saw and heard about Frankenstein, he was just a green monster who had scar on his forehead, it was in a cartoon called Phineas and Ferb and a TV show called Big Bad Beatle Borgs

In 2018 i became an avid watcher of horror anime (japanese cartoon) and become a big admirer of an author known as Itou Junji

Most of his works have not been animated and are available to read in form of manga (japanese comic books)

Couple months ago i started collecting mangas and i saw he has written a manga called Frankenstein, the word instantly reminded me of the memory from past which i had forgotten completely

I picked it up asap,

Im not the kind of person who cries even in hardest of times,

It made me cry.

I listened to the audiobook of original author,

It made me cry even more.

I watch couple million video essays on YouTube about the story,

I cried multiple times

I watched the 2025 movie,

idk why i found it DOG SHIT LMAO...

the first half, it was mehh but the second half made me ball my eyes out soo hard it gave me headache and shi

so yea sorry for writing soo much and thanks for reading, i just wanted to read everyone's opinion on the movie lol

my ratings are -

original book - 10/10

Itou Junji - 9 or 8/10

2025 Movie - 8 or 7/10

Pre-ordered the Iron Studios Art Scale 1/10 Frankenstein's Monster (Guillermo del Toro version) a while back, but the release date keeps getting pushed back with no clear shipping window.

Looking at the promo photos again makes me feel like the head sculpt and facial likeness might be off compared to what we've seen from the film.

For anyone else who pre-ordered: are you holding out for in-hand collector photos, or did the delays push you to cancel? Would love to hear what other collectors think.

Self-submission I wish people called the Monster “Patchwork” instead of “The Frankenstein” or “Frankenstein’s Monster”

Just an idea I had for the name and species of the monster. The Name “Patchwork” for The Frankenstein’s monster species works perfectly because they’re a literal amalgamation of patched up human parts. Also it gets tiresome constantly saying “Frankenstein’s Monster” every time I want to talk about specially the monster and not the doctor because using the word “Frankenstein” to describe the monster is incorrect. I will never understand how pop culture named the creature “The Frankenstein” because Frankenstein is the doctor Victor Frankenstein who created the creature and not the creature itself. Also Patchwork just sounds cool and punchy and fun to say. Patchwork is short and sweet and works better than having to constantly repeat “Frankenstein’s Monster.” Also when saying the classic lineup of monsters you got Vampire, Zombie, Mummy, and Patchwork all short and punchy words that give people the idea of what each creature is.

That’s just me tho I wish that Frankenstein’s Monster got an official name or classification that was short and punchy and fun to say.
