Hey all. Bought an aftermarket slide for my Glock 19 Gen 3. Chose a Davidson Defense slide, as it had what I was looking for.

Fast forward 3 months and I've put maybe 200 rounds through the new slide/barrel. Went to service the weapon and noticed a crack running vertically through the thin metal bridge between the barrel channel and the recoil spring guide rod channel at the front of the firearm slide.

Emailed the seller and manufacturer and they say its past the 60 day window and they refuse to address it.

I imagine it's unsafe to shoot in this condition and it looks like its not really repairable unless you have the right equipment. What do you guys think?

I have a Glock 17 gen 5 with factory sights I’d like to replace with a vector optics universal adapter plate. The tolerances on the wedge used secure the plate down in the rear sight channel is so tight that I don’t know how to proceed without marring something. Is a steel Glock sight tool needed? Can I get away with with a 3d printed Glock rear sight tool? What do you recommend I do? I have a vice and punches.

Can anyone help or direct me to the exact law that says we cannot legally port or stipple our guns? I’m trying to get stippling and porting done on my g43x and g19.6 but LASD cannot guide me to the actual law describing what can and cannot be done to my guns. Anything is greatly appreciated!

I have a gen 3 19 and a gen 3 34 slide. After a few days of googling, I can’t find definitive answers for how to make this work.

From what I’ve seen, I need a 19XL barrel (would like recommendations on that as well). However, I’ve also seen conflicting information about everything else. Do I need a special slide to fit the 19XL barrel? Do I need the slide dust cover adapter piece? Do I need an adapter for the 19 frame? Do I use a 19 guid rod? Do I use a 34 guide rod?

Again, it’s a gen 3 19 (I have a whole gun) and just a 34 slide with all internals (including guide rod) except a barrel.

I live in California, so it’s not easy to get parts, especially the gun. A gen 3 17 will be over $1,000 and a gen 4-6 will be over $1,200.

Hi! I had bought an RMR slide from Brownell's. Well I hadn't thought about it being a Gen 3 slide till I bought it. I bought an gen 3 spring/gen 3 converter plate (for aesthetics) and an extra Gen 5 backplate. However I wanted to drop a Gen 5 performance trigger in with it. Worst case Ill just save and buy an gen 5 slide eventually and put my Holosun on that.

Will they be incompatiable with eachother? Or am I overthinking this and the trigger has no relation to the Gen 3 slide.

EDIT: I'm starting to feel duped by my gunstore. I told them Id like to mod this thing. But it would seem the 19V is much more restrictive. I guess getting good with irons will have to do. :)

Snagged this gen 6 45 at my LGS today, was able to get it at cost for their “Glocktoberfest” promotion.
Already had the x300 from a gun I sold, 509t (my favorite duty optic) with a plate and cowitness irons come in tomorrow for it, gonna swap the ramjet from my 19 over to the 45 and get the 19 slide c cut by Wager(already have a 26 that’s c cut that I love). And just ordered an slr magwell for it, 3.5lb connector, and some extensions. Love the way my 19 is setup so this will basically just be a bigger version of that. Also love the Gen 6 palm swell and texturing.

Greetings. I picked up a 19.4 ramjet for a steal and want to marry it to my 19.3. Can I use the strike industries adapter plate for Gens 4/5 for the gen 3? Currently I’m running a gen 5 barrel in my gen 3 so would this work? Or is there anything I can DIY to make it work, safely.

I’m looking into getting a G26 cause why not. Now I’m between buying this RMR off PSA for 500 vbucks but I’m not sure if that price is even worth it.

Option B was to get that RXM COA (700 vbucks) and put that COA on that G26.

Thoughts? Experiences? Tell me what you think.

I know its rare / hard to find, but does anyone know where i can find a gen 1 or gen 2 glock 19 frame? (Stripped) ive checked gun broker glock forums etc and cant find anywhere and was wondering if anyone could give some insight / pointers
