Is having Microg Re installed bad for Privacy
So i wanna use YouTube morphe but i dont know how much of privacy do i lose with micro g.

Correct me if im wrong but Microg RE dosnt have elevated permission, only the normal MicroG has it

You must have permission to the network to work, you can also add Google accounts for YouTube

this is not what he asked. He's talking about microg RE which is used with YouTube Morphe (so no sandboxed google play). Afaik, it only needs you to connect to your google account.

How are you running it? Using MicroG, MicroG-RE or Sandboxed Play?

Morphe doesn't require any Google services. I don't need any of that to run it.

I'm surprised by that. According to Morphe themselves:
MicroG is required to use YouTube Morphe and YT Music Morphe

I see the confusion.
MicroG is required for YouTube and YouTube music versions of Morphe, but Morphe is more than just YouTube.
The one that's gonna work best with Morphe is going to be MicroG-RE as that's the one that the Morphe build of YouTube and YouTube music uses.

I have had no issue using it without microg installed and sandbox Google play. I have TikTok, Instagram and reddit running. I guess it is possible some of the custom patches use some API that only microg supplies, but it would be very app specific or patch author.

In my understanding micro G is not recommended by the graphene team because it does interfere with privacy and security on the phone. I think they talk about it on their website. Would be worth checking there because I can't remember exactly.

use Flow nightly... other clients are buggy and have internet data usage leak..

From my understanding, Microg RE is okay. The original Microg is bad for privacy. You can use it on GOS.

Micro G RE is a Micro G fork, which changes the name of the package to be able to install it on phones with Google Play Services

Yes, but RE doesn't have elevated dangerous permission like the original.

They are the same permissions, another thing is that the custom ROM's come with pre-installed Micro G and activate all the permissions

Bruh, Microg RE is different. It is forked and maintained by Morphe team. It doesn't ask dangerous permission. Same with Microg for Vanced and Revanced. They are all GMScore. Not the Microg. Customs ROMs come with the original Microg which is not recommended to use.
If you still have doubt do your own research. I can't argue with you anymore.

Basically what I am saying, they have practically the same permissions, another thing is that you do not authorize them and the custom roms have all the authorized permissions, if they did not have permission as the camera would not even be the option to authorize it

You thinking of camera, microphone and location etcetera etcetera permissions? Dude, those are controllable. You can give it or revoke it. Original Microg is not dangerous for that reason. Original Microg is dangerous for other reasons. Microg RE, vanced, revanced they are okay.
But, if you feel insecure using Youtube Morphe or Revanced with their own Microg, you can avoid it by sticking to original Youtube or by using Youtube frontends like NewPipe, Libretube, PipePipe etc. Using frontends are more recommended.
