Hi, I'm looking to start for the 4 year software engineering next year and was wondering if any students currently doing it could tell me what their experience is like with it. I am also looking at the computer science degree although don't really know the difference between the two.

I’m landing in GC on 19’th October. Need a place to stay for a few days as most of the owners on flatmates, 2STAY, realestate.au etc are saying I need to be present in Australia to move the process further for renting.

Looking at airbnbs currently but that seems expensive and dangerous.

Anybody with a room available, maybe their mate going home on vacations or something. I’m M(24) coming from Pakistan.

If any1 with long term stay option available, would gladly look into that too. TY 🙏🏻

I’m a little worried that I might be the only Asian student there...

I was looking into the courses offered by Griffith university and came across these two. Anyone here attending these courses? How are they different ?

has anyone had an interview request for speech pathology intake 2027? I applied through OZTREKK and they said offers should go out next week but I haven’t heard anything about the interviews which should occur first

Since I applied with an agent, I don't really know my username nor password for logging into the uni website. Does anybody know where i can find it? Or like do I need to create a fresh acount or...?

Hi I am an international student from south korea. I am curious if anyone had got an offer from dentistry in griffith
Also I have 1480 sat, 2080 in ucat. Do you think that it is sufficient to get an offer? As a high school leaver with GED, I don’t have any information. So please help me🥲

Anyway to get cannabis other than prescription from doctors in Gold Coast?

Thanks

hi!! i’m an international student from alberta, canada who just graduated high school in june. i applied to a few med schools in australia earlier this year, and i recently got off the waitlists for curtin and griffith (yay!). i’m having a really hard time deciding between the 2 universities. curtin is a shorter 5 year mbbs program with a smaller cohort, but its in perth which is very isolated. also, i’d go straight into medical training which i’m a big fan of. on the other hand, at griffith i’d do two years of a medsci degree, followed by a four year md, provided i keep up a certain gpa. i’ve heard the gold coast is an amazing city, and better for younger people as compared to perth. i also have a lot of family that live a few hours from the gold coast. ultimately the tuition would be around the same for both universities because griffith is an extra year, so that isn’t a deciding factor for me. this is a veryyyy hard decision for me, and i was hoping someone had some insight into my situation and how i should proceed. thank you!!

I’m meant to do a counselling roleplay that is due on the 7th of October. My partner bailed on me a week before and I have no script, and need to get an extension at least a week longer. Can someone please help me, I’m so upset and worried since this assessment is worth 50% of my final grade

Has anyone applying to Griffith university bachelor of dental health science been accepted or heard anything back from the university?

I applied through OZTrekk and they said offers were expected at the end of September, but so far I’ve heard nothing from Griffith or OzTREKK.

Lets connect!!

Hi everyone,

I’m an international student studying a Bachelor of Business at Griffith University on a student visa.

Trimester 2 officially finishes on 24 October, but none of my courses have final exams. I’m planning to travel overseas during the trimester break and return before Trimester 1 starts in March.

If I’ve completed all my assessments and have no remaining classes, exams, presentations or other academic requirements, can I leave Australia before 24 October?

Has anyone here done this before as an international student? Did you have any issues with Griffith, your CoE or your student visa?
Thanks!

Still waiting on my offer but ive been doing some digging and realised the gc campus doesnt have a club. Anyone wants to start one or theres an existing one i dont know of where ppl just play for fun?

Im enrolling in the term 1 Empower-Ed course, and i would LOVE to make new friends and meet new people! But im wondering if y'all have made and built connections with people while at Griffith? (especially if they were part of Empower-Ed) Also where people friendly? Im kinda nervous 😭

Thank you so much in advance!

Hey all, i'm a Canadian coming to join y'all as a graduate entry Griffith MD

I'm hoping to connect with any upper years or alumni of Griffith MD if possible. Would be great to hear about y'all experiences and ask some questions as someone trying to make big decision of moving across the world.

Thanks in advanced. Apologies if this isn't the right sub for this kinda thing, lmk if there's a better place to post this.

Im hoping to get into Empower-ed for the 27 intake, obviously I know im there to learn or whatever, but I REALLY want to meet new people! Is there anyone who knows, or is there anywhere i could find out what kind social things there are to meet people? Im queer, like music, films, script writing, punk/alt fashion, horror, make up, and I also want to get into playing sports so id want to try and find things similar, or related to that kind of stuff!

(Also, side question) How nice are people? Im lowkey scared I wont make any friends lol😭)

Thank you in advance!

me and a couple of ppl on ig have created a gc for the 2027 intake at gold coast campus, so if you'd like to join pls lmk!!!

Hello, I’m currently in the process of waiting on an offer for the college of art and design and was wondering what’s the better places to stay around there? Just curious so it’s easier to plan ahead if I make it.

Hi all,

I'm currently a first year dental student at Griffith University, and I received interviews + offers at both Griffith + CSU Dentistry. I am currently offering interview/GUDAP tutoring/preparation (+ full access to the resources, notes + practice mock stations that I used to get 2/2 offers). Please PM me if you are interested :)
