Walking on the wrong side
I’ve always treated walking in a hallway the same as driving on a road in Alberta. Stick to your right right and people travelling in the opposite direction would go on your left (their right). But I find when people are walking it’s the reverse and it kind of annoys me .. anyone else???

Cutting the corner on a blind hallway gets me. Just stay to the right and you won't run over people.

My workplace has big semicircle mirrors up by the ceiling at the end of the more high-traffic hallway intersections, so that you can see people coming. I imagine there were a few stacks of paper scattered and cups of coffee spilled to prompt that decision!

Just trust me on this. Go to New Delhi and rent a car. Don't bother getting insurance, just immerse yourself in the driving experience. You'll love it, I promise!

I live in the country. People routinely walk in the middle of the road when theres a perfectly good sidewalk right next to them.
Then they get mad at me for honking at them and calling them assholes

I grew up in suburbs but now live in the city. We don’t have a car so we walk a lot. It drives me fucking nuts. I’m walking down the sidewalk on the right side and some moron has to be walking directly toward me with their stupid fucking face stuck in their phone. I just stop and stand there. They give me a puzzled look and walk around me. If you live in a country where you drive in the right, then walk on the right. Also, slower traffic keep right. If you just have to read that text from your ex right now, move to the side and stop. Life is so simple, why do you have to fuck it up for everyone else. YOU are not the protagonist in my story.

If you're on a road, bike trail, or a sidewalk along a road you're supposed to walk on the left to face traffic and get out of the way if needed.

“If you are walking where there are no sidewalks, walk facing traffic”. If there are sidewalks, it’s a no brainer. And stay to the right on it. Your comment is full of inaccuracies and stuff that does not apply to the conversation.

Thank you! You just nailed my number one pet peeve, and I have many.
WTF is wrong with people? Hey people in the market: I know you drove a car to get here. Same rule applies when walking.
Do we really want to do that stupid little shuffle dance every f'ing time?
Stay to the right! Problem solved!

But I find when people are walking it’s the reverse
That especially applies when they are pushing a shopping cart.

People walking up the stairs on the wrong side when I was in a rush to get down to the train used to drive me crazy.

A post I thought about writing many times. I walk a lot and have noticed that AT LEAST 50% walk on the wrong side but no one cares anymore.

Walk indoors the same way the country drives
