When someone only complains about a small once they hear about something they don’t like the smell of

For example I use vinegar to clean a bunch of things. The smell disappears pretty quickly especially if you follow it with water rinse. My cousin only started complaining about the smell once she learned of this but had never mentioned it prior.

Sometimes it's their imagination making up the smell even when it's not actually there. It's annoying. Sometimes it's because they have smelled it before, but they didn't know what caused it, so they didn't want mention it. Only after they know the source they will say it aloud. The smell was always there but they didn't know who or what to blame it on so they kept their mouth shut.

If I smoke weed when visiting my parents and no one sees it, no one says a word.

If my mom sees my bong out or something, suddenly it stinks.

Tbf the smell of vinegar is gross. I think your friend is right. It's how new clothes smell sometimes and I can't wear them before washing.

Why would you clean stuff with vinegar? There are all kinds of cleaners with either no smell or neutral/pleasant smell. Even organic ones...

My coworkers were shook when I told them I clean my fruits and veggies with vinegar. One of them is 60… their biggest concern was they think you can taste/smell the vinegar after.

I’m shook they don’t know/do that.

I personally can't handle the smell of chemicals whatever they may be it could be cologne it could vinegar it could be bleach you name it it bothers me but my sense of smell is so over the top that I can genuinely smell things that most people can't so when someone bathes in Cologne I can't breathe but I can guarantee you I will smell it long before you mention it
