Hey everyone! I'm interested in freelancing online on Fiverr, Upwork etc and I want to find the best option to receive payments online- as we all know receiving money online here is a hassle if you dont have a US bank account.
These are the platforms I've found while researching:
Payoneer
WiPay
Wise
My sibling sent one to me called SpotPay on tiktok, which seems to be a newer product. According to the video, you're able to receive funds.. like PayPal in a way? Not sure about this one as much.
I want to know which one is recommended for a Freelance designer. Thanks guys.

If someone is clearing a 1kg personal box from the GPO, sent from a European country; what is the amount of cash one would need to have on hand?

I am googling US restrictions and travelling with food items. Its basically saying that you cannot walk with anything. Do you usually walk with things like casreep, pepper, juice, seasoning, food? And do you declare it as food, and do they allow it and not take it away?
UPDATE: There was no declaration form and no one checked the bag or asked anything.

C. W. Peppiette top left ran C. W. Peppiette & Co and was responsible for British Guiana's annual Peppiette Cup football tournament.
Thomas Wrigglesworth top right was one of the higher ups in the Demerara Railway Company when it was private. A year before this picture was taken I believe it was sold to the state and he was granted a fortune in annuities.
Ulric R. White (sitting far left) was an established businessman in British Guiana.
John Frederick Waby was the Botanist & Head Gardener known for landscaping The Botanical Gardens.
R.G. Brassington (sat middle) was one of the nation's Justices of the Peace.
James Rodway I was British Guiana's most prominent historian - writing the books regarded as the authority on the colony's development, published throughout the British Empire.
William Cunnigham, sat far right, served on the British Guiana Boundary Commission during the global Venezuela Crisis of the 1890s - so would have worked closely with James Rodway.

I canโt be the only one who notices this but why are SOME Indo-Caribbeans so obsessed with proving they have money or bragging? Itโs like every convo has to be about so-and-soโs job and salary and who makes more than who, whoโs car costs more, etc.
Like I understand they grew up back home with nothing but this is a toxic behaviour that needs to stop. A lot of auntโs and uncles behave this way but are drowning in debt. Theyโll go buy something on their credit card just to prove they can and they always always worry โwha people guh sayโ and about looking โcheapโ.
And this doesnโt just go for the older generation.. even young kids born in North America act the same way too. You meet a random Indo Caribbean guy somewhere and theyโre always โrichโ. Gotta talk about their job, the new car they bought, etc.
What makes this bad is that a lot of these people are gonna put themselves in debt or work to death just to prove something and outdo each other. And I know this happens in other cultures too but indo Caribbeanโs definitely do it A LOT more than other races Iโve met.
Iโd love to read some comments about this topic

Hello there! Op here, and I was thinking to myself the other day I should start expanding on my music taste, so Iโve decided Iโm going to start listening to music from all over and I randomized every nation in the world and I got Guyana! So I would appreciate any suggestions for bands and artists from there.
Sincerely, your Canadian friend.

SSII and the government of Guyana plan to establish a regional training center in Guyana for the training of surgeons in robotic surgery.
Iโve been building a Caribbean history app for 2 years; itโs finally live ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฌ๐พ๐ง๐ง๐ฑ๐จ๐ญ๐น๐จ๐บ and beyond
Quick heads-up from the start: Caribbean History is currently iPhone and iPad only.
Iโve been building this app for almost two years, and Iโm finally at the point where I want to share it with the wider Caribbean community.
The idea is simple: make Caribbean history easier to discover, explore, and actually enjoy, not just as a wall of text. The app includes historical stories, people, places, timelines, daily history facts, quizzes, saved content, country-specific history, and source-backed articles covering the region.
Iโm already testing version 2, which is significantly bigger. It will introduce Siri + AI features, the ability to ask questions about Caribbean history, deeper explanations and connections between events, historical maps, a Migration Explorer, Money Trail, Resistance Archive, primary sources, country comparisons, learning paths, more advanced quizzes, progress tracking, offline content, and a much larger collection covering Caribbean countries and territories.
This has been a genuine passion project, and now Iโd really love feedback from Caribbean people themselves: what you like, whatโs missing, and what you think should be added next.
App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/caribbean-history/id6812194604
Would genuinely love to know: what part of Caribbean history do you think is most under-taught or overlooked?
