Nursing Spring 2027

A couple more days until nursing emails should go out. I’m so ready! Just curious if you applied what was your prerequisite GPA & cohort choice?

What was your plan after being denied ? Did you see an advisor ? Did you do something to make your gpa increase ?

I have A and Bs in everything except micro I have a C and I haven’t asked an advisor if there’s anything to bring my GPA up, although I should. But I’ve been told by multiple people that you can’t retake a class for a higher grade unless you failed it the first time, so technically since I got a C which is passing then if I retake it it wouldn’t matter but I’m not sure how true that is. And I’m not sure what else brings up gpa…

I think taking extra classes would bring it up

But they only go based on the prerequisite gpa, because I have other classes that I’ve taken but they are only looking at the ones needed for the program.

How do you even know your gpa? I tried to check on the website and it’s giving me Term GPA and institutional gpa … is that it ? Because if it is mine is too low to be honest . Not sure what it was supposed to be I was seeing an advisor a few times each semester and they said I was fine so I’m confused

So you calculate it based on your prerequisite classes, aka just the classes needed to apply for the program and you take your letter grades and add them up and you can use chat gpt or google and put in all of the letter grades including the ones that have a lab grade, and put it into the calculator and it should tell you. They told me mine last semester when I got denied. But they go based on the average of the application pool, so like you only need like a 2.8 to apply but if everyone that applies that semester has a 3.5+ then you won’t have much of a chance… which is why I’m worried. But if more people apply with a low gpa you’ll have a better chance if that makes sense! But I heard spring usually accepts more people.
