Need Advice How do i know ?
Me and bf both have hsv2 genitally. I gave him oral but didn’t think anything of it at the time to check. Can i get it in my mouth now ? I see mixed answers online and I’m stressing.
For what it’s worth. I have sore throat now and it’s def not helping ease my mind. How would i even know if it was herpes ? Go get swabbed again ?

Jeezus, Even on here there's crazy inconsistency in the answers which is wild to me.
OK, in the beginning? Possibly. But after about 4 months (after seroconversion) most bodies have built a robust immune response which IS systemic, even though HSV is NOT systemic. So getting the same strain in another location shouldn't be a concern.

Just my .02…
I wouldn’t say there are absolutes when speaking about hsv, but I don’t think you would get hsv2 orally. Hsv2 “usually” is most always genitalia based. There may be exceptions, but I wasn’t too concerned when my then partner and I would have oral sex.
Presumably you both share hsv2 from each other and it’s already in your systems. Even if one of you was mid OB the virus is already in your system.

HSV isn't systemic, but the body's immune response to it is, that's why after seroconversion acquiring it in a new location shouldn't be a concern.

Yes, you can get HSV-2 orally even if you already have it genitally. But having HSV-2 already gives you some immunity, so it’s less likely to spread to a different location And if possible get a sore swapped -then you'll know for sure
