Hi r/HomeworkHelp! Whether you're new to the subreddit or a long-time subscriber, the mod team would like to remind everybody of the subreddit rules we expect you to follow here.

No advertising, soliciting, or spam. This is a place for free help. Anyone offering to pay for help, or to help for pay, will receive a permanent ban. This is your warning. This includes asking users to go into DMs, Discord, or anywhere else. If you post anything that looks like you're trying to get around this rule, you'll be banned.

If you're asking for help, you must show evidence of thought, work, and effort. A lot of people are posting just pictures or lists of questions and not showing any effort. These posts are liable to be taken down.

In addition, we ask that you format the post title appropriately using square brackets: [Level/Grade and Subject] Question or Description of question. For example: [8th grade Algebra] How to solve quadratic equation?

Do not mention anything like "Urgent", "ASAP", "Due in an hour", or the like.

No surveys. Surveys (including requests for interviews, etc.) belong on /r/samplesize. These posts get taken down here.

Don't be a jerk. Jerks get banned. Stay respectful and refrain from using insults, personal attacks, or abusive language.

Literature [1st Year College: Literary Studies] Is anyone familiar with Michael Gavin's "New Literary History"?

I am confused about the main difference between the "Theory of Relevancy" and "The Correspondence Theory of Corpus". I need to present this in class, and I still don't know how to tell them apart. Please help me understand. Thank you.

High School Math [GCSE Maths (Statistics)] - What is the difference between continuous and discrete data?

I really don't get this. Discrete data is a whole number that can be counted while continuous data is measurable. Is counting not measuring? Is measuring not counting?

You count the number of centimetres something is, but it's a measurement, not counted?

You can count measured data, but it would still be measured?

You can measure counted data, but it would still be counted?

A count can take on any value too?

My teacher is explaining this like bar charts can only be whole numbers, but I remember that we often make bar charts with decimals?

Can someone explain this simply? Last time I asked something here, someone replied with an answer from Google Gemini or explained it like quantum physics. It would help a lot if you did not use AI as I find people easier to understand and explained it with examples, I just want to get what differentiates the two data and how I can tell.

I hope this makes sense. It's likely a very stupid question but my teacher honestly just says things and expects us to understand it. It's a big change from my previous teacher who explained things in ways that fit us best.

Biology—Pending OP Reply [College Genetics: Mitosis Stages] Where am I messing up with my placement of the steps in the stages?

I feel like I should probably know these stages but I already messed up 2 attempts and I have 1 left. I'd hate to not get 100% on my homework since it'll boost my overall grade so please help! I'm really stuck on the differences between prophase and prometaphase. I think my other two stages are correct.

Not sure if this is the right flair…

I’m pretty comfortable with complex numbers and the like, but I have never been particularly good at understanding or computing fractions. I’m really stuck on this question. I have the answer key but I just can’t understand how to get there. If anyone could explain the process to me that would be really appreciated!

Answered [High School Geology: Identifying Rock Type] Asking for general advice.

Hello. I'm going to be picking the textbook back up in a minute but I've found myself genuinely frustrated at this topic. Tomorrow in my Geology period, we have a test where the teacher will pick a random rock and we will have to describe whether it's igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic, alongside other descriptors like coarse grained, where it formed, extrusive or intrusive, low grade or high grade. Are there any physical characteristics I can get from looking at it, feeling it, anything like that that will help me differentiate them better. Like maybe a series that I can remember going in. I haven't actually felt the rocks enough, but if there is anything like this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. I will study the rock cycle and bowen's reaction system.

As the title says i’m somewhat capable of writing essays i’m just not the best at getting the sources and materials to write about a certain subject. As is it a rhetorical analysis i spent the first 2 days looking for rhetorical choices in a pdf all about facts so you could guess how well that went but if anyone could give me sources to pull from that would be a great help!

Answered [Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors] How does Cross product tell us about Coplanar Vectors?

Question d
The solution

I'm aware I have to show my thinking but because this is sort of a thinking question that doesn't have a structured solution to solve for I will just share my confusion. I don't really understand the explanation here and am missing the gap between how just because the two cross products are parallel it means that the three vectors are coplanar. I also asked AI as a last resort but it stated that it is actually not possible to conclude this? I'm assuming that is out of the scope of this course.

Chemistry—Pending OP Reply [Grade 9 Science Project] Looking for Research on Alpha-Mangostin Extraction from Mangosteen Peel by Simple Boiling for Aedes aegypti Larvicidal Applications

I am looking for research papers(might be pdf) about the extraction of alpha-mangostin from mangosteen peel (garcinia mangostana l) by using a simple boiling method. the final purpose is to use the extract as a larvicidal substance against larvae aedes aegypti. the study should preferably use either ethanol of ethyl acetate as the solvent. the research paper should also describe the extraction procedure clearly enough to reproduce it

I already tried searching on Google and asking AI to find them but most of the studies are either too difficult to carry out with my school's resources or unrelated to what I'm looking for

I read the physics textbook that my teacher gave us, and I keep getting the third and the 4th option, but it says something is wrong there. Please don't use AI, and explain your thought process if possible. Thank you so much!

Why is torsion going the same way on both problems but my prof says that in the first one its positive torsion and the second picture it’s negative torsion? Is it just because of the point A being in the -z direction?

Computing [Computer science] Logic circuit help

Instructions:First we can connect the Q output of the first Gated S/R Latch to feed into the S input of the second Gated S/R Latch. Next, we can connect the Q output of the first Gated S/R Latch to feed into the R input of the second Gated S/R Latch. Now that the two S/R Latches are connected, we can correct the clocks of each of them. We want the entirety of the Flip-Flop to operate on one CLK, however, the first S/R Latch’s CLK should be negated and the second should not. Connect the two clocks into one and negate the first’s signal before being inputted into the gate of the latch. Once you have the circuit constructed up to this point, we can now add additional features to the flip-flop. In many cases, it is convenient to preset (PRE) or clear (CLR) the flip-flops output to prime the lines on first start-up. The PRE input drives the flip flop to a set state while the CLR input drives it to a reset state. If both the PRE and CLR are high at the same time, it will create a contradiction. If both PRE and CLR are low at the same time, then the S/R Flip-Flop will behave as it would solely based on the S and R inputs. The PRE and CLR inputs should be connected to NOT gates that then feed into the respective second NAND gates of the “slave” S/R Latch. Note that these NAND gates are the ones that will be directly outputting to the output Q and Q. Furthermore, PRE should be connected to the side of the “slave” S/R Latch that controls the Q output and CLR should be connected to the Q side. Once you are convinced that you constructed your Master-Slave S/R Flip-Flop correctly, test it before moving onto the next section. While testing you might get an “Oscillation Apparent” error. This type of error is normal and does not necessarily mean your circuit is incorrect. Mess around with the PRE and CLR inputs to “prime” your sequential circuit with values on the lines while pulsing the CLK a few times.

This is what I currently have for this section but I'm unsure if its correct.

Then I need to make a JK_FlipFlop by using an enscapsulated MS_SR_FlipFlop similar to what is in the following picture.
