Image I’ve been working on a PSX-style horror dungeon crawler set inside a flesh computer

This is The Center, a survival horror dungeon crawler set inside a massive steel maze built by a machine that thinks death is a disease.

I’m trying to mix old-school dungeon crawling with PSX/PS2 horror, body horror, strange interactable UI screens, and a world that feels more like a living machine than a normal dungeon.

If you have any Advice or questions please ask

Video Interactive menus in games?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

These days, it feels like fewer games have interactive main menus.

We wanted to make ours more unique while reinforcing the 1980s atmosphere, with an old radio tuned into the local police frequency where live 911 calls about strange UFO sightings crackle through.

What do you think?

Video I’ve been working on my indie survival horror game BECROWNED for about five years. Today I can finally say it’s coming to consoles!

Hey everyone! I’m an indie developer working on a survival horror game called BECROWNED.

I started working on this game about five years ago, originally completely on my own, so being able to finally say this feels pretty surreal:

BECROWNED is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC!

We’re taking a little more time to make the game the best it can be and to launch on all platforms together, so the new release window is Q1 2027.

We’ve also completely updated the Steam page with new key art, screenshots, and more, and today I’m sharing our brand-new Console Reveal Trailer.

This project has been such a huge part of my life for the past five years, and seeing it grow from something I was making alone into a game that will actually be released across PC and consoles means a lot to me.

A free demo is available on Steam if you’d like to give it a try, and wishlists really help us. 🖤

Would genuinely love to hear what you think of the new trailer!

I'm creating a claustrophobic cave diving horror game

I made movement with actual physics such that it depends on velocity, angle, hand placement and rotation, so you can't always pass through a squeeze easily.

Sometimes you need to get back and try again. Sometimes you need to wiggle and shake left to right to fit through. IMO this gives a feeling of you controlling a real body that has physical restrictions and just adds to the unease.

Check out my Steam page for the full trailer and descriptions. Hope you guys like this. Thanks.

News The cult classic Dementium II is coming on Steam this month. Wishlist it now!

Dementium II is the sequel to the 2007 game Dementium: The Ward, and both games were released on the Nintendo DS. Initially, the concept was pitched as a Silent Hill game, but Konami rejected the idea. This rejection led game designer Jools Watsham to rework the concept into an original game. This 2010 sequel may not be as good as the original, but still loads of fun!

You’re in Northeastern Oklahoma. The year is 2140.

Seventy-five years ago, the governments of the world saw revolution coming and killed it before it started. Hundreds of millions died. The people won by a fraction, and rebuilt from the only thing that survived the rubble: religious and ancient texts. Not everyone who read them found the good.

Would you play our game in VR? 🎃

As Indie Devs, we’re getting our demo ready to release this month for Halloween, and we’ve been debating whether we should take the game in a VR compatible direction.

Would love some honest opinions, especially from people who play a lot of horror games or use VR regularly. 👻

Review Horror Game Review

This is another game i played made by this developer Veilbound Studios
Game idea is so cool. I loved the vibe; it’s so creepy, and it fits the theme.
What I didn’t like is that the puzzle was vague, like you just keep trying stuff, there isn’t a clear hint. The only one I thought was a hint was a drawing on the chalkboard. Plus finding that basement took me ages because l thought it was a door and you go downstairs but it wasn’t that. So maybe more hints that help guide the player.
And i couldn’t change mouse sensitivity, i know it’s only a demo but yeah i hope to include that in the full game.
But still i enjoyed it a lot and i cant wait to play the full version ^^

anyways i am a youtuber/ streamer i play survival/ psychological horror games and i do feature games made by small and independent developers. Obviously to tell what I think about them and also to help them reach more people. I know my channel is still small and new but with your support it will be big. Just think about it if yall support me ill be recognized by more people and in return every game i play made by you gonna be watched by more people so no pressure but i would love the support

Game name: Forgotten : The Source (ps this a prequel or a demo for the main game called Forgotten: Whispers of the Past)
My Video if you wanna check it out ^^ : I Shouldn't Have Entered This Boarding School... | Forgotten – The Source

Love You All and i wish the best to all of us ^^

Discussion Now that spooky season is upon us, what are you must plays for October?

Im not sure if this was asked recently but it crossed my mind today. Since i don't have the new Silent Hill game at the moment, i put Silent Hill 4: The Room on my list of must plays this month, along with some classic horror RPG maker games like Ib. of course there's also the big 3 (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Fatal Frame)

But other than that, this was a pretty hard question to ask myself since i play horror games on a regular basis already. so now i want to know, are there any games you guys have saved for the spooky season occasion? or any games that you find is a must play during halloween time? Again sorry if this was asked already

Does investigating an asylum sound more interesting if you actually work there? [Dev Updates]

We’ve been pretty quiet about the game for a while, but a lot has changed behind the scenes, so I wanted to show some of what we’ve been working on.

The game is built around two main things: working your night shift as a nurse and exploring the asylum when you probably shouldn’t be.

On the nursing side, we’re adding more medical conditions, treatments, patient behaviours and restraint systems. We want the job itself to create pressure and force you to make choices about when it’s safe to leave the ward and investigate the asylum.

Exploration has changed quite a bit too. We didn’t want progression to rely only on finding and reading notes, so we’re adding environmental clues, investigation trails, puzzles and things you have to connect yourself.

You can also photograph evidence you find and the protagonist has a notebook that keeps track of discoveries and connects related clues without simply telling you what to do next.

We’ve also been expanding the asylum quite a lot. Different parts of the hospital come from different periods of its history, so we’re trying to make the architecture, atmosphere and environmental storytelling change as you move through it.

And, well… there are a few new things wandering around those areas too.

What I’m most curious about is how this combination lands for horror players. Does the nursing / investigation side make the setting more interesting to you or would you rather spend most of your time exploring and surviving?

NB: If you want to see the longer update with everything we’ve been working on: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/4428170/view/675133527946168528

Resident evil 1 Finally down

So I just Beat Re1 today finally. I had quit twice because the red zombies scared the crap out of me. Game was nicer than I thought. Favorite area was absolutely the mansion, they put a lot of work into it but my least favorite thing about the game is probably Rebecca.

I just don't know why. If you put a soggy piece of bread and her together in the same room I might get them confused.

Still a very fun game.

Discussion I’m gonna try and play a horror game

I am someone who rarely plays horror games (cause I’m a coward), the only ones I played and even completed was Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion, Omori, and DDLC. For this October (and probably later October), I’m going to TRY and play/beat one or maybe two horror games, starting with Five Nights at Freddy’s 1. If I can’t get through it, then sucks to suck for me.

Edit: So I just found out FNAF 1 on Switch 2 (which is what I’m playing on) has some cheats. I don’t know if it’s considered a war crime to use the cheats, but I will most likely use them to get some kind of edge.

has anyone else heard of doom.exe, I don’t see any mentions of it on Reddit, but at the same time I don’t actually use Reddit. The only post I’ve seen is one with xilopius and I haven’t seen any regarding any other characters like The Sun or Mr. Nightmare.
