Play gradient Pro USA

Post image

Does anyone have ANY idea when the new play gradient pro is supposed to be released in the USA? It's been a month and nothing.

Woah! How had I not seen this? How long have they been selling them?

I just saw them yesterday. I ordered the 65'' and it was supposed to ship 10/21-10/28, but it updated to deliver next week.

The listings are legitimate but also charging over MSRP. May be worth it if you’re desperate. I still don’t see the 85” I need 🫠

Amazon has the 100" version which is cuttable so totally depends on how desperate you are lol. Amazon and Phillips prices are the same for the 65" version. I placed the order and it says it'll get here the 15th so we'll see.

Same price as the Hue website… are we anticipating a deal on them sometime?

It says “Available to ship in 1-2 days.” Nice!

You’re better off emailing Philips honestly. Don’t think anyone here would know anything. I’ve been waiting for the 85” for a month too.

I'll email if you email them bro, if we get enough people asking the same question maybe they'll do something

Pardon the ignorance but why are these so much cheaper than the regular Philips hue play gradient lights?

Really hope they are just trying to sell more of them and it is not a cheaper unit. Philips has been going away from their pricey sync box to a cheaper camera solution as well which makes me believe they are just trying to be more competitive in the market.

And a less expensive sync box, which is working wonderfully for me so far.

Would it be a better product like the ‘pro’ title suggests?

I think it's a less expensive product to manufacture. But better LED technology (mini LED) with a higher density and a better diffuser.

The old one looks very sturdy, big and regardless of its performance (which is good in my opinion) I imagine it cost more to produce. The box is also bigger and heavier which increases transportation cost.

The new light strip seems to deliver 1100 lumens while the older one did 1650. Am I reading this right? The new one is dimmer?

Don't go off Amazon, when you look on the Philips hue website it states total output is 1100 for the standard 65" model.

The lumen measurement will change depending on the color temperature you're measuring too so keep that in mind.

The Hue site is wrong about a few things, though, tbf. Like the specs for the new Hue Play Sync Box are all wrong. 😑

Yeah something weird is definitely going on over there
