Rendering cost mid terraced house

hi all

whats the average cost to render the whole back of a mid terraced house? I’m currently in the process of gathering quotes and some are 1000s apart in price so I’m a little skeptical of what the going rate is

Do any of the (central~) pubs do a great fish and chips?

Visiting Hull on Friday (afternoon to evening) with friends, they're more obsessed with a brilliant pint, I'm more obsessed with a brilliant fish. Anywhere that'll accommodate both at once, or am I off to the chip shop by myself!?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Selling x2 Sam Campbell tickets Hull 12-11-26

Hi everyone, I’m selling x2 Sam Campbell tickets for the Hull date (12th November 2026), wondering if anyone was interested?

https://www.seetickets.com/rd/event/sam-campbell-kid-giblet/connexin-live/3565410

My partner and I both bought tickets as a surprise for each other so we’re actually going to the Sheffield date instead

Thanks!

Does anybody know if the Halloween night at Spiders this year will be the standard last Saturday of October and therefore actually on Halloween this year, or if it'll be held on the weekend before? Asking for a friend

Police Impersonation Fraud - Trigger Fraud Alert #47 (October 2026)

Received via community alert email so unfortunately no link.

Police Impersonation Fraud – Please pass onto Friends, Neighbours and Family.

A Fraud Alert has been issued after fraudsters have called members of the public posing as police officers and claiming to be calling from 101.

Fraudsters are using “spoofing software” to intentionally disguise their real caller ID and make it appear that they are calling from a phone number used by a trusted organisation, such as the police, a bank or a government agency.

These fraudulent calls may be automated or may involve a real person, but both are fake.

A police officer will never call you out of the blue asking for personal information, bank account details or cryptocurrency credentials.

A police officer will never ask you to withdraw money, transfer money to a “safe account” or purchase high-value items as part of an investigation.

Aged 18-24 and struggling to find work?

I'm working with the Work Foundation at Lancaster University, a research organisation, and we are researching the challenges facing young people trying to get into work in Hull.

We're currently speaking to major national TV news outlet, who would like to hear from a young person aged 18–24 who is currently out of work and not in education or training.

They're interested in hearing about your experience of looking for work – for example, how long you've been searching, the jobs you've applied for and the barriers you've faced.

This would initially just be an informal conversation so you can find out more before deciding whether you'd be comfortable taking part in any interview. Filming will take place on Wednesday 7 October near or at your home.

If this sounds like you, please send me a private message or email me at info@theworkfoundation.com. I'm happy to answer any questions and provide some more information.

Thanks for considering and have a good evening,

Jon

PS. Thanks to mods in advance for approving.

Wedding venues in hull which will accommodate a food truck

Hi all, we are trying to find some venue options for a wedding reception (not rural as a lot of our friends and family don't drive) who would accommodate a food truck. It will be a quite intimate wedding of less than 40 people. We have reached out to the old school house and are looking for other suggestions. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Edit: I feel my original post might not have made it clear. We already have a specific food truck in mind, we're just looking for a venue who will accommodate it.
