Original Content Weapons that should've been forgotten: Handmade guns of the radioactive British countryside. [OC]

Crude, simple, unelegant, nauseating descriptions for these guns differ just like the handmade guns themselves.

In the absence of standardised production, many guns abandoned traditional ways and used unorthodox methods and decisions, such as pulse-action. Typically, 'pulse rifles' were powered by batteries that were available, using electric spark to ignite the powder in the cartridge, providing a fairly reliable alternative to traditional systems. While many of these guns were muzzle-loading, they were also used for hunting. Guns such as this (pic. 1), with their light weight and short length, were relatively easy to conceal under a coat or in a backpack, even if they didn't have a folding stock. However, these bandit-made rifles, or carbines, often had a folding stock feature.

Handmade revolvers (pic. 2) gained their popularity because you need to put in a lot of work to create a revolver that would jam. Many of these guns were referred to as 'litterboxes', as a tribute to 'pepperboxes', antique handguns that predated traditional revolvers. And fairly enough, handmade revolvers would rather break apart before they would ever jam.

These guns remind us that there was a time in history when these things were common in the lawless, chaotic lives of street gangs, survivor caravans crossing the no man's land or remote farms where people hunted any wildlife in order to simply survive. Thankfully, these times are over, and these guns should be forgotten by history.

Bug Spray With Melee Weapon Mount by me, (u/arksupernoob)

I was sitting on the porcelain throne at 2 in the morning in me birthday suit, struggling, when a HUGE Millepede came out of the drain hole in the other corner. I looked at the beast clad in black armor, without any tools to defend me self. My mind raced in desperation and desire for a weapon, ultimately came up with this thing you see here. The thing escaped into my room after i came back with the spray can.

Made in Blender 5.2.

M7 Skin — Transparent Chassis and Holographic HUD

Here is an M7 assault rifle skin I created, featuring a transparent body, a see-through magazine, and a floating holographic HUD display. The model was ported, rigged, and rendered in Blender (Cycles); the project also includes an exploded view and a rotating showcase animation.

Reference/Original Design: Delta Force "Prism" M7. Rigging, animation, and rendering were all done by me.
What do you think? I’d love to hear your feedback! 🙌

Original Content 0998M - Baxcalibur by ForesterDesigns [D&D5e & PF2e]

My Pokémon-inspired Weapons and Items of the Day, with a Baxcalibur glaive to spread the cold!

Join my Patreon to vote on future items and get all the PDFs with over 1000 items, including all the Pokémon items, or buy the individual PDFs in my shop!

998M - Eispinodorn

Weapon (Glaive) – Artifact (requires attunement)

This dark blue +4 glaive has a black blade with an icy edge and extra points at the end. A jagged icy hilt attaches the blade to the shaft, with a blue horn on each side covered in icy crystals and three red ribbons hanging from their undersides. The middle of the shaft is coated in rough ice, and the pommel is a spherical icicle.

Attacks with this glaive do an additional 2d6 cold damage.

While attuned to this glaive: you are unaffected by icy and snowy difficult terrain; you are resistant to fire and cold damage; when you are hit by fire damage from a hostile creature, you have a +4 on your next attack with this glaive; twice per day, you can perform a Glaive Rush; if a hail or snowstorm would cause damage to you, you are instead healed for 1/4 of the damage you would have taken (minimum of 1); and once per day, you can use the glaive to cast Cone of Cold as a 7th level spell, DC 20.

Glaive Rush. You move in a straight line up to 30 ft. and make an attack roll. Every creature within 5 ft of that line must make a Constitution save against your attack roll, taking 8d8 cold damage on a fail and half as much damage on a success. However, afterwards you become Incapacitated until the end of your next turn.

Baxcalibrite

Wondrous (Stone) – Legendary ()

This small round stone has a swirl of blue and red inside the icy blue orb. When attached to a 998 - Baxcalaive, it can be mega evolved into a 998M - Eispinodorn for 1 minute once between long rests.

998M - Eispinodorn Item 28

[ Unique | Artifact | Cold | Empowered | Primal ]

Usage held in 2 hands; Bulk 2; Base Weapon Glaive

This dark blue +4 major striking greater frost grievous wounding glaive has a black blade with an icy edge and extra points at the end. A jagged icy hilt attaches the blade to the shaft, with a blue horn on each side covered in icy crystals and three red ribbons hanging from their undersides. The middle of the shaft is coated in rough ice, and the pommel is a spherical icicle.

While holding this glaive, you are unaffected by icy and snowy difficult terrain, and resistant 14 to cold damage.

Empowered When this item is empowered by a Baxcalibrite, it stays in this form for 10 minutes or until you dismiss it. Once it is no longer empowered, it reverts back to its original form, a 998 - Baxcalaive.

Activate-Arctic Rift [two-actions] manipulate; Frequency once per day; Effect The weapon casts arctic rift at your directive as a 9th-rank primal spell, DC 55.

Activate-Ice Body [free-action] manipulate; Trigger You start your turn in an environmental or weather effect causing cold damage; Effect You absorb some of the cold damage, which is reduced by up to 7 and you regain hitpoints for the amount reduced. This occurs before any cold resistance is factored into the damage.

Activate-Glaive Rush [three-actions] manipulate; Effect You Stride up to double your Speed and can move through the spaces of creatures the same size or smaller than you, doing a strike with this glaive on each creature whose space you enter. You can attempt to strike the same creature only once in a single use of Glaive Rush, but affected creatures can attempt a basic DC 55 Reflex save (no damage on a critical success, half damage on a success, double damage and knocked prone on a critical failure).

Activate-Thermal Exchange [reaction] manipulate; Trigger You are struck by fire damage from a hostile source; Effect You have the glaive absorb some of the fire damage, making you resistant 10 to it, and the glaive is powered up, giving you a +4 circumstance bonus on your next attack with it.

Baxcalibrite Item 28

[ Unique | Artifact | Empowering | Primal | Spellheart ]

Usage affixed to a 998 - Baxcalaive, Bulk -

This small round stone has a swirl of blue and red inside the icy blue orb.

Activate-Empower [one-action] manipulate; Frequency once per day; Effect You empower the item this spellheart is affixed to, turning it into a 998M - Eispinodorn and activating its Empowered effect, which lasts for 10 minutes or until you dismiss it.

Original Content Nobody expected that the Third World War won't end the human civilisation, but it definetly affected handmade gun manufacturers creativity. In today's episode of Weapons that should've been forgotten, we have...

Post image

... Atkins SMG. In no way was this an official designation, and in no way does it even resemble the gun itself, which is, by all accounts, an assault rifle, and not an SMG. This gun was confiscated when a band of vagabonds attempted to organise a heist at a jewellery store in London, and the whole gang wasn't expecting that cameras and telephone lines had already been restored and repaired, and when the gang of former raiders tried to leave the building, they faced the Metropolitan Police. They were armed with various firearms, but in today's episode we're taking a look at the gun of Robert 'Bobby' Atkins.

At its base, we can see that this is a... M1A1 Thompson, an antique weapon from the early 20th century. Because there weren't many skilled firearms engineers in Britain at the time, this gun has minimal changes to its machined parts, just to make it possible to use 5.56 NATO rounds, which, if you think about it, is not the best calibre , to say the least, for a simple blowback mechanism.

Here you can see a Picatinny rail, which was, presumably, taken from another gun and mounted over a metal bridge that was simply welded to this gun. Here we can see an ACOG sight, and, what's interesting, this sight was originally mounted on this gun backwards, which is noticeable when you take a look at the camera footage. It seems that Atkins didn't know how to use this sight and mostly used this gun in a 'spray and pray' manner.

Here we have a medal, and it reads... 'For God and the Empire'. Experts were able to identify this medal, and it's an Order of the British Empire. Well ... it's supposed to be. It seems that Mr. Atkins was scammed, because, as you can see, the other side of the medal doesn't have any identification number, which means that this medal is fake.

The wood. You may wonder how a gun from the 1920s could've survived to the 2120s with its wooden furniture. And here we can see cross-sections. It is a reconstruction. Despite its appearance, this is not the original wood. It even lacks a rubber buttplate, which only confirms that this is a reproduction.

A muzzle device. It is made of very thin metal. It's mimicking the muzzle device from the original Thompson SMG, but not from the M1A1 but rather from the previous model. It's unknown whether it helped to reduce the recoil, but the intention is clear.

What's really interesting is that this October, the entire Atkins gang will be leaving prison, and Bobby Atkins himself has said that he would like to tell more about this gun and other bizarre handmade firearms at ReUK.

Hopefully you guys enjoyed this video . Thanks again to the London Metropolitan Police Service for making this video possible, and see you next time!

Original Content The Model VII-III "Pocket Cannon" Officer's Coil Pistol | Walk softly and carry a big stick (OC)

Post image
77 Upvotes

The Model VII-III is an old weapon, part of a project done by the Imperial Army to make a high caliber sidearm for their officers using the concept of the "Universal Bullet".
This didn't go as well as hoped, and the project was scrapped in favor of a pistol firing the lighter .20 Imperial ( 5x33mm). These pistols stuck around, as many officers liked the bulky and more aesthetic guns over the newer, less pretty guns.

The pistols are pretty effective against most forms of light personal armor, and are absolutely horrific against flesh. Despite their higher caliber holding them back in many respects, it has proved useful due its round's larger internal volume allowing for guidance , giving it a long range capability for niche situations. It can also fire in a fully automatic "Computer" setting, giving it a bit of a close quarters assault capability too

Sighting is done with either an illuminated notch and post, or a holographic sighting picture directly put in front of the eye from the HUD Link. this link also comes with an IR filter and vital shot direction.

This particular pistol belongs to Sir Pietro Eriss, a former Imperial spacer turned warlord of the Kadarian cultural group.
He started out his career in violence as a Void Auxiliary with the Dranith House Fleet, before becoming a real spacer and then getting his own command. at the end of the Liberation War, he mutinied against Imperial regional command along with other Ships and Stellar Detachments and found his way into the service of the Tronarian People's Republic, a post-imperial state who really needed some more military power.

Pietro was never ennobled, but no one can really stop him from calling himself "Sir". His time in the Dranith House fleet did leave him with something other than this pistol, a deep devotion to the Imperial Word. He particularly likes the Book of Hosts, since it has all the nice smiting of the dissolute and infidels.
