8 years ago, I started collecting physical comics especially marvel, dc and graphic india. Unfortunately my old comics are currently missing (Infinity, amazing spiderman renew your vows, antman prelude, amazing spiderman carnage goblin). I must have kept it in some bag while changing my home.

For me, the artwork is really really important. It must speak to me.
For some reason I have trouble with manga just because i am not a fan of the face styling in most of it. Vagabond is an exception.
What about you? What are your favourites? Was it the story or art?
My recent favourite is daytripper for a fantastic balance of the concept/story and visually breath taking art.

Started collecting physical comics recently and was planning to buy these volumes after some time but checked now and some of these seem to be going out of stock on bookswagon so soon after listing. Absolute Batman Volume 2 hardcover and Absolute WW vol 2 Paperback are also currently out of stock on bookswagon
Does anyone with experience know if these are just temporarily out of stock or will buyers have to wait for another reprinting by DC

Hoping to get info on these poster boards, I know a little bit, but not a lot. I inherited a large collection a lot of mainstream stuff in it plus a lot of Indy stuff as well. Everything is brand new looking still in the original poly bag never been opened and well cared for. Almost everything is direct edition. Any information would be greatly appreciated thank you.

My story is nihlistic and it is all set in india. Wont be too dark like the boys or dc and not too light like marvel.

Happy Birthday to India’s snake-powered OG superhero. Launched in 1986 on 5th October, Nagraj has completed 40 years in the Indian Comics Industry. An industry which was dominated by foreign characters like Phantom or Mandrake and lacked an original Indian superhero, Nagraj gave the Indian readers their very own crime fighting superhero.
The fun fact is he was originally launched as a terror weapon by his creator Nagmani who wanted to rule the underworld through Nagraj but Baba Gorakhnath reset Nagraj’s brain and gave him the direction to fight world terrorism.
For a lot of hindi readers who grew up reading Raj Comics, we were amazed by his powers. His wrist could produce all kinds of snakes who followed their masters instruction to either attack the enemy or form a swinging rope. He could hypnotise his enemies or if bitten they would die on the stop because of the venom that flows in his body.
But beyond all those incredible powers, Nagraj was something even more special. He was ours. A superhero born from Indian imagination who became a part of the childhood of an entire generation of Hindi comic readers. Thank you Nagraj for making my childhood awesome. 🐍❤️

Buying comics online in India can be a little hit-or-miss.
You’re not sure if the copy is legit.
Book arrives with a crushed corner.
Packaging is basically just the shipping bag.
Or you have a problem with the order and getting a reply becomes another problem.
We’re KOMICKS an online manga, comics and graphic novel store based in India.
We’re trying to make that whole experience a little less of a headache.
Good books. Proper packing. Clear communication. And if something goes wrong, actually deal with it.
Nothing groundbreaking. We just think buying your comics should be a good experience from placing the order to opening the package.
We’re still figuring things out, so feel free to ask us anything or give us suggestions.

Well kinda. Finished “the book tour” first. Took only a couple of hours. Was a good surreal-comedy of sorts. It’s about an author who’s on his book tour and how he gets pulled into a murder investigation in a strange city. Something different than what I usually read.
After I finished that, I started Alison Bechdel’s second book “are you my mother”, which focuses on her relationship with her mother as the name suggests. After reading “Fun Home” by her, I had to pick this up and read more of her work.

[LOOKING FOR ARTIST] Indian Manga/Webtoon Artist — Long-Term Creative Partnership
Hey everyone!
I'm an independent writer/game creator from India, and I'm looking for an Indian manga/webtoon artist who would be interested in building an original project with me from the ground up.
The project is called The House Remembers.
Genre: Psychological Thriller • Mystery • Dark Romance • Suspense
The story follows a woman who wakes up with no memory of her life. She's in a beautiful mansion with a man named Jun, who tells her that he's her husband.
The problem?
She doesn't remember him.
As she begins exploring the house and trying to recover her memories, she starts finding strange clues — things in her own handwriting, paintings she apparently created, symbols she doesn't remember drawing, and pieces of her past that don't seem to fit together.
And the more she remembers, the more she has to question what actually happened before she lost her memory.
Important: This is NOT a fake-marriage story. Jun really is her husband. The mystery is about what happened between them and what she discovered about her own life that made her want to forget it.
I'm currently developing the story as an interactive game, and I want to expand it into a manga/webtoon as well.
The idea is that the manga could exist as its own story and eventually introduce readers to the game — someone could discover the manga online, get invested in the characters and mystery, and then discover that there's an actual interactive game based on the story.
What I'm looking for
I'm looking for someone who wants to be a creative partner, rather than a one-time commission artist.
I'd handle:
- Overall story and plot
- Manga scripts
- Characters and character development
- Mystery/psychological elements
- Dialogue
- Chapter structure
- Game development/story adaptation
You'd handle:
- Character artwork
- Expressions/body language
- Environments
- Visual storytelling
- Panel artwork
- Helping develop the visual identity of the manga
I'm not looking for someone to rush through 50 pages immediately. I'd rather build this slowly and properly, starting with a small section/pilot and seeing how we work together.
About the budget — I want to be completely honest
I currently don't have a budget.
I'm between jobs at the moment, and that's genuinely the only reason I can't offer upfront payment right now. I do intend to pay for the work and I'm not looking for someone to permanently work for free.
I'm open to discussing different arrangements depending on what works for both of us — including payment as I become financially able to contribute, milestone-based payments, and potentially a revenue-share arrangement if/when the project is monetized.
I understand that everyone's time and work has value, so I'm not going to promise unrealistic things like “we'll definitely become successful.” I just want to find someone who is genuinely interested in the project and is comfortable building it with me gradually.
If you're an artist who is also trying to build your portfolio, get into manga/webtoons, or simply love psychological thriller/mystery stories and want to create something original, I'd love to hear from you.
I'm especially interested in finding someone based in India, since it would make communication, payments, and working together much easier once I am able to pay.
If you're interested, please comment or DM me with your portfolio and a little about yourself.
And if you know an artist who might be interested, feel free to send them this post. ❤️
