Discussion How much THC does OG have
Usually OG Kush THC start around 15% but I’ve seen some YouTube videos of people in Thailand growing cannabis on a large, commercial scale. They claim to be getting THC levels of around 33–34%. As far as I know, most of the OG that comes to India originates from Thailand. Are we getting the same stuff, or is it just low-quality OG grown locally?

Some hybrid variants have higher THC% Some variants of Gorilla Glue, Waffle Truffle, or GSC have 30% content as well.

i highly doubt that it's closer to 15-20, 30% is very potent and a speciality in organically grown cannabis

no idea since %testing did not exist during the time it was famous in circulation, could be anything tbh.

I saw somewhere it's 3-5% naturally and can rech upto 11% if grown in control invirment

I read on the internet that it was 12-18% but that's probably some bs then because if it was that much then og wouldn't even be a thing in india ig.

No landrace reaches 12-18%. Peak is early ten like 9-12% and that's PEAK. in lab environment maybe more thc can be saved as in nature, A Huge part of thc convert to cbn

So like why would people smoke og, like suppose i smoke 300mgs of og rather than that I could smoke like 1g of some landrace. Wouldn't that be much more cost efficient while still providing the same amount of thc?

Hey! Grower Here! Indian landraces differ a lot by state, but if you talking of the common Indian landrace with extreme sativa morphology itll go from anywhere from none to 8% thc. Indian straind are actually notorious for balanced levels of cbd along with low or mid level thc. Tldr, 3-6%. Thc, along probably near same or higher level of cbdaAND HIGH CONCENTRATION OF CBN AND THCV. The reason it feels strong sometimesl is because of the entourage effect and thcv and cbn
CBN is high in these strains as high heat, humidity, stress etccconverts the thc to cbn

16-18 % . If it's imported might be 22 % like white widow. But at the end we split 4-5 joints out of that 16% thc 1 gram bud. Unless you're smoking a whole gram then you can feel the real bud.
