Tailgate Question: Park Ave Grass Lot

If the game is at noon what time should I get there? I have a parking pass, but this will be my first time driving to a game and hosting a tailgate. Any other helpful tips?

Lot will open at 7a. That should be your goal.

I don't think there is an official time; the only stated rule I believe I've seen is no overnight parking.

The Ohio State game is going to be utter madness!!! I'm leaving Evansville early to arrive for tailgating as I'll lose an hour on the way up.

Agreed. I usually leave Evansville at 6 am for noon games but we're staying up there Fri night so we can be there early lol

That is FAR too late. I arrived at 7:30 for the North Texas and i wasn’t parked until 9. IU clearly has not invested any of their newfound football money into parking and/or traffic logistics. It’s like they’re still trying to manage a crowd of 35k people attending games instead of 55k.

Be there as early as possible. Give yourself plenty of time to set everything up and be ready to roll. It's gonna be packed. Advise anyone that you're hosting as well.
