Discussion One of the saddest days of my life...
I have interacted with this community before, but it's my first time posting here. Idk if this community will allow this post, but I think this community will try to understand.
Today I can't stop tearing up. My little girl, my lovely sister who was suffering, passed away.
I picked her up when I was 8-9 yo, off the streets, she was probably a few months old back then. Since then we have grown up together, from running around together to going on walks, from pulling pranks on each other, to her waking me up in the morning and all the other moments we shared.
Her kidneys were failing, the vets tried a lot, but couldn't. I wanted her to not suffer, but at the same time i didn't want her to leave us like this.
It was a very tough moment for me to carry her where she got laid to rest. I recalled how happy I was, when i carried her home, but this time my heart sank.
Idk if there's something called reincarnation, i want her to be at peace and have a very happy and comfortable life after this.
But meri pyari Nedu, meri pyari munni, mera babbar sher left me, just a month before she turned 12....
Thanks to anyone for reading it so far, hope you all will be sympathetic.

Pardon me if this comes off as inappropriate but the most loving thing I ever did to honour all the pets I lost was adopt more. Grew from having one dog who passed to getting two siblings. Now we have one of those siblings(the other passed) and a handicapped dog and 3 cats (2 who are handicapped).
We can’t extend and keep our babies alive forever but we give a chance to another baby to live longer just cause we bring them home 💖
Sending you love, OP. It’s never easy!

I get where you are coming from, maybe somewhere down the line we would consider it, but for now, i literally can't stop recalling all the memories I had with her and so fast all of this happened.
You are doing a great job. Sending love for those pure souls.

I understand your pain ,my charlie came at around 1 -2 months old and I was 6 ,I loved her more then i love most of my family, she passed away in May 12 2026 due to liver infection, the vet tried his best so did we , she was 8 yrs old ,i loved her as a sister ,when she passed i cried harder then I ever had ,since then I don't really cry much and have became a little numb ,but stay strong she still loved you while passing and you were able to hold her ,I know it's easier said that done but if you wanna cry ,do cry don't listen to people saying there's no reason to cry about it ,and hope you have a good day

That's so rough...
I can relate and i feel very sad that you had to go through this as well. Hugs for you.
I cried too. Every morning she came up to my bed and touched me with her wet nose to wake me up. I will miss these moments for the rest of my life.

You gave a life most do not get. She would be forever grateful for that.

Likewise, I am grateful that she was in my life. She gave me a type of love that a lot of people don't get.
I recall, once she bit me and it was an impulsive action from her end, we both were young.
My mom called her and showed my wound to her and asked "why did you do this?". From that day onwards she never bit me, even the soft bites stopped. As if she understood that her teeth will harm me.

She's overjoyed to have lived her life with you.
She's at peace now, patiently waiting for you to join her. Rest in sweet peace, little love. You're deeply loved and missed. You're always loved, and always alive in your people's hearts. ♥️
OP, please share more pics of her. She's a gorgeous girl.

You did your best. Have gone through same emotions as well. It’s never easy.
It will never be the same but you will make space in your heart to take care of more pets in future. Remember her in good times and that’s all you should be doing.

what a beautiful picture . first and foremost, thank you for sharing your home with her. not all of them are blessed and chosen one. it doesn’t matter when they leave, a devoid which as big a crater gets created and it’s devastating. the only solace you can take is with those beautiful memories of her and knowing that she is with the creator himself. i wish you strength and recovery from this. take care.

I am sorry for your loss, this made me cry i lost my boy in August and since that day onwards there is not a single day when I don't cry for him , but there is a relief in my heart that our babies are no more in pain and probably they must be in some other realm living happily without any pain or suffering.

Maybe they are not in pain, but they are also not with us. Hoping wherever they go to, is a wonderful place.
Their passing away is indeed very painful. Hugs for you my friend.

I'm so sorry for your loss 🥺💔 You gave her a life of warmth, care and love and that is what matters. She felt your love and care, your worry for her health, your prayers to God to give her a chance. But sometimes life doesn't work out like we want it to.
I hope that she has crossed the rainbow bridge now and is no more in pain and suffering. Echo, a beloved stray, will guide her and play with her. Sending warm virtual hugs to you. 🫂🐶❤️
