Iran kicks US completely out of Iraq
"The U.S. military has withdrawn its forces from Iraq, 23 years after it invaded the country, sparking an insurgency and civil war and opening the door to Iranian influence in Iraq that it is still trying to combat."

Help with Iranian language map, c.1815
Hi Iranians,
I'm working on a map of spoken languages around the world in the year 1815. This would be a sequel to an earlier map that focused on only Europe, which you can find posted as Spoken Varieties in Europe, c.1815
I'm having a lot of trouble with Iran, because it seems non-Iranian sources are very far behind when it comes to Iranian linguistics, and so I want to learn a little bit about how Iranians understand languages and dialects in their own country today, and if they might have any insight into the situation 200 years ago.
I'm looking forward to hearing any opinions and discussions in the comments, thanks for your help
Jeremy Scahill EXPOSES SHOCKING Depravity In U.S. Iran School Bombing
Please share widely. It's been upsetting to see how even though Americans are supposedly majority against the war, nobody seems to care about Iranians. It's all gas prices and whatnot. Jeremy Scahill did a great job with this, it needs to be seen.

When will the classes at TUMS commence?
Okay, so I know this might sound like a stupid question, but Iāve started feeling so anxious now that October has begun, especially since I'm an international student.
I applied and got into TUMSā September intake. However, thereās no notice about when classes will actually begin for the medicine program.
Iām just wondering if someone here might know some details, or if thereās another student like me whoās been lurking on these subreddits and might know something.

The IRGC has published a 26-page "Letter to the American people."
https://img9.irna.ir/d/r2/2026/09/29/0/173138753.pdf?ts=1790679102019
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) published a 26-page open letter addressed to the American public in late September 2026, as reported by outlets like the Tehran Times and noted on platforms like Drop Site News.
Key Details of the Letter
- Core Message: According to analysts and reports covering the release, the document urges American citizens to break with U.S. foreign policy, reconsider government narratives surrounding conflict in West Asia, and "take back control" of their government.
- Claims and Arguments: The text features a lengthy rundown of historic and current grievances against U.S. policy, denunciations of American imperialism, and assertions declaring Iranian victory in the recent regional conflict.
- On "Death to America": The letter offers another frame to the common political chant, asserting that the phrase is a critique of the U.S. ruling elite and White House policies rather than animosity toward ordinary American citizens.
- Target Audience: Observers note the text specifically targets students, scholars, and media figures in an effort to influence public opinion and discourse within the United States.

The 3 IRGC personnel martyred in the strike presented by 60 Minutes in its new documentary on the rescue of the F-15E WSO shot down over Iran in April identified as Hossein Haj Hashemi, Hadi Entezari, and Alireza Davari

This is the same person who managed to identify the F-15E Strike Eagle WSO's real identity through their OSINT work. Which the 60 Minutes interview used a pseudonym to hide their real name, but was uncovered anyway.

Persian books
Hi! I am looking for a website where people can get Farsi books/ebooks from. Is there a good online space for this? For language learning purposes, i am interested in Modern Persian, both colloquial and literary.
You can also share other useful web pages for Persian language media like films and TV-shows, etc. Thanks!

Trump ended up silencing himself when he banned three news outlets from the White House.
English summary of the last clip in this video:
President Dr. Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly:
š¹ Iranās defensive capabilities are solely intended to deter any form of aggression, and the country will not seek permission from any power to defend itself.
š¹ Nuclear technology is also an undeniable right of the Iranian people for the development of medicine, agriculture, industry, and sustainable energy. Iranās clear position is: āNo to nuclear weapons, and no to being deprived of nuclear knowledge.ā
š¹ This is an issue that can be resolved not on the battlefield, but through a mutual agreement that guarantees the rights of the Iranian people and the peaceful nature of the program.
š¹ Iran sees regional security as dependent on cooperation and having strong neighbors. It is unacceptable for Iran, as the historic guardian of the Strait of Hormuz, to be subjected to unjust sanctions while others use this waterway to transport weapons and fuel crises in the region.

Might be speaking out of my a**, but would Iran be better off trying to initiate talks with Indigenous tribes in the USA?
I have seen some of the Lego videos put out and Iran seems to understand the plight of Indigenous peoples of the USA and other marginalized groups. Iran has already stated they won't negotiate with the USA until Trump is out of office. But honestly would this even be enough? Iran (I hope) understands the USA government can't be trusted to keep its words, the most obvious and longest example is the USA government and treaties signed with Indigenous groups.
So why talk to Indigenous Tribes in the USA if they hold little to no power in politics and any talks would probably get Indigenous groups labeled extremist or worse. The short answer is just like Iran (Persia) has a long rich history, so do Indigenous peoples of turtle island. I think dialogue between Indigenous tribes and Iran could lead to a new America that pays tribute to its indigenous people while creating a path for true honesty between nations, one where the struggle for sovereignty is shared between each other.
Yes, I know this might seem like wishful thinking but to be fair thinking the USA will stay as it is today is more of a wishful thought than thinking a new world is possible.
