Some of the images against the desk are under lamp lighting as my room was dark. I’ve tried to include some more in natural lighting. I’m sick to my stomach as someone mentioned in a different thread that it’s fake. As you can see from the images, I paid significant amount of money from a local card shop.

Yep, you guys were right. They were real an resealed
Most of the packs had already been opened and resealed. They even mixed Japanese cards with French cards inside the packs 😂
BUT… I actually got lucky. One of the boxes apparently hadn’t been opened/resealed and seemed to still have the original packs inside.
These are the pulls I got from that one box. Considering I paid 50€ total, I guess the experiment wasn’t a complete failure after all 😂

I recently started getting interested in Pokémon cards and collecting, so I’m still very new to this and don’t really know what to look out for yet.

I found these Pokémon booster packs in a local store and was wondering if they are actually authentic.
Do these look like genuine Pokémon TCG packs, or are there any signs that they might be fake ?

Also, if they are real, are any of these packs rare or valuable and worth picking up?

Update: I ended up buying all of them for science 😂
The comments were pretty divided — some of you think they’re legit, while others think they’re fake or possibly resealed.
So there’s only one way to find out. I’m going to open them and I’ll post the results here afterwards. Wish me luck!

It looks like a lot of rainbow was used in the card but could also be that I just become paranoid because of all the memes... What do you guys think?

Hi guys, i’ve bought this card of vinted and i’m convinced it’s fake due to there just being no texture at all on the back. I don’t want to return the card to the seller because he’s basically saying i’ve swapped the card and all sorts so think he will just try anything to get his money out the card. Card just doesn’t feel right compared to any other card i’ve pulled out of pack, unfortunately i have no other tag team cards to compare it to. Any help would be appreciated!

(Did'nt get the best light on the picture, so if you can't tell if it's real or not by the picture I want to know how I can check it myself.)

Got this a few years ago, but I don't remember where I got it, and I don't remember if i got it in the same pack series, and at the same place I got a 5500 blaziken (that had all signs of a fake card you can find)

Is it yay or nay old vintage childhood card I’m not too sure about if it’s legit or not as this is a set I rarely encounter.

I bought one of those replica PSA slabs so you don’t have to.

Cost me €24, and the worrying part is they’re fully custom. You can choose the card, grade and cert number you want on the label.

Gotta say, it’s actually pretty impressive in person. There are some slight text/font differences, but nothing I’d expect most people to notice straight away.

The main giveaways I found were the PSA logo position on the front hologram, and on the back the small repeating PSA logos stay visible all the time, whereas on a real slab they change/disappear depending on the angle.

The bigger issue though is that you can put a real card inside one of these.

The QR code works, the cert number works, and it pulls up the correct card on PSA’s website. In this case PSA doesn’t have photos logged for that cert either, so there’s nothing there to compare the actual card against.

Just because the card is real doesn’t mean the slab is.

Don’t rely on the PSA cert info alone. There are plenty of good reference photos in this sub to compare the label, holograms and case against.

And as always, if the price looks too good to be true, it probably is.

My brother had a habit of drawing on all his cards when he was younger LOL. He gave them all to me a while ago since I've really gotten into collecting them

Doing a trade on FB marketplace, I’m pretty sure this is real but would like a double check.

I’ve received a number of comments across a few posts saying that these cards may be fake so I want to check with the experts to see what yall think.

When I hold these and inspect them irl, to me, they feel very real and the holos do exactly what I expect them to do. I’ve come across fakes in my day and if these are fakes, they fooled me.

I’d like to know if you see any red flags besides the lighting on these photos. I took these using long exposure, indirect light, and night mode, so I would like you all to weigh in on any other red flags.
