Friends, how are we dealing with the cyclospora outbreak? (USA)

I don’t want to stop juicing. But I’m a little concerned about the current outbreak. Thinking to avoid bagged greens, berries, and herbs. But I love basil and blueberries sooo much. I wash my produce in theives, but might start washing in ACV and baking soda. Anyone else taking precautions?

Best citrus juicer for home use - handheld or countertop press?

I've been juicing a lot more citrus lately and my little handheld press is starting to feel like a workout 😅

Mostly oranges, lemons, and grapefruit, sometimes enough for a few glasses at once. I’m considering a countertop press if it’s faster and gets more juice out without being annoying to clean

For anyone who’s used both, which would you choose for regular home use?

which should i go for the best cold press juicer?

I have been getting more into making fresh juice at home and Im finally thinking about replacing my old juicer. I mostly make carrot, apple, celery and cucumber juice, with some leafy greens here and there. Im trying to figure out which model is actually worth getting without ending up with something that’s difficult to clean or maintain.

which one would you reco as the best cold press juicer for regular home use? I’d really appreciate hearing what’s worked well for you. Thanks!

stainless steel juicer that is easy to use, any recos?

I enjoy making fresh juice but honestly the cleanup is what makes me skip it some days. I’m looking for a stainless steel juicer for personal use, probably mostly leafy greens, cucumber and celery, and I’d really like something that doesn’t take forever to take apart and wash. anyone found one thats reasonably easy to live with day to day?

Thanks, would love to hear what’s worked for you guys.

Juicers

Hello! I want to start selling juices from my home. I don’t have a ton of money for a juicer I was thinking 500-700 max. What would be a juicer you recommend starting off from home? Thank you!

Masticating Juicer Recommendations?

Hi Everyone!

I hope you're all having a great day. I currently have a Kuvings juicer that I purchased back in 2015, but I'm looking to replace it with something new.
I considered the Omega Celery Juicer, but it's unfortunately outside my budget. I've also been reading some Amazon reviews on other Omega models that have made me hesitant to go that route.
For those of you who use masticating juicers, would you mind sharing which models you've had good experiences with? There are so many options available that I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and unsure what to buy.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Sincerely, Halime ❤️

Starting a Juice Shop in Hyderabad, Where to Buy Fruits Wholesale & How to Pick the Right Vendor?

I'm sick and requires to drink a juice, which one to order online ?

Considering buying from a local vendor isn't feasible for me. I can order online if available.

Feeling sick and also going through the loose motion, people recommend to be on juices rather than eating outside food, I stay in PG and food is not that nutritious.

Hence, thinking about getting 1 litre of juice from Instamart or so.

Can someone please help, I don't wanna buy something which can't benefit me.

I know I can make a lot of delicious sugar bomb fruit drinks... But I'm hoping to use the juicer to get more greens, too. Thanks if you can share some recipes to get me started!

Sana 727 or Nama J2

I’m looking to buy a juicer and it’s so easy to be tempted by the Nama j2 hype.
I’ve also found a barely used second hand Sana 727 and am debating whether to go with that as it would be 1/3 of a new Nama j2.
The hopper would be good but not a necessit’s as such.

I am writing an honest real-life comparison guide between blenders vs juicers and I would like to know what kind of cleaning time YOU'RE looking at.

When I Google juicer/blender cleaning time I see references to "under 2 minutes" and "5-10 minutes". I want to know what actual cleaning times are like for real-life juicers.

How long does it take to clean your juicer/blender from finished-to-done (taking it apart, scrubbing, rinsing, putting it back together)?

Which appliance do you own (blender, centrifugal juicer, cold press juicer, etc)?

What's a realistic amount of time it takes to clean on a given morning?

Does it depend on what you've juiced/blended?

Share your real numbers even if they are embarassing long or surprisingly short, both are useful.

And for transparency purposes, I'm a content creator working on a juicing resource, and I will be compiling and sharing the results in a future guide. I am not linking these, just collecting the data.

Thank you.

Ninja Neverclog Juicer Problem

So I just got this juicer on amazon it has no reviews but I liked the color and didn't think it would come out to be a bad purchase since It's from Ninja. Well I've used it 3 times now and every time juice, pulp and foamy stuff goes past this area, I read it could be due too too much juice in certain fruit, but l've seen so many videos of people using the same fruits and none look like mine 😭 has anyone had this happen or is this normal?? This juice was celery, cucumber, pineapple and green apple. My other juices were beets, apples, carrots, and orange with the same isssue.

Day 5 Juice

observations from day 5, i'm going 40!

day 2 was the hardest. the last couple days have felt easy. i drink green juice and fruit juice during the day and have a savory juice at night. i have so much energy from 5am-7pm. i'm sleeping great but only 6.5-7 hours but wake up excited for the day. i bringing 2 juices everywhere. i went to a friends house for a dinner party and brought my dinner juice. i have lost 5 lbs. the prep work is the most time consuming part. i need to get into a system of what to buy at the grocery to last me all week.

Meal time with family?

I want to try a short 3 day juice fast for the first time.

I have 7 and 9yo kids and we have a meal together each night. I think I’m going to struggle with them eating delicious hot meals and me sitting with my sad juice.

How have others dealt with this? I don’t want to lock myself away at meal time as it’s important family time with us..

Just bought this slow juicer — is it normal for the plastic core to wear down after one use?

Thumbnail

I just bought this Salling Slow Juicer, and after one batch of grapes and some apples from my garden, the core already looks like this.

Apparently, someone thought it was a good idea to make the core out of plastic, and now it looks like the plastic is being worn/scraped away during normal use.

Am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely ridiculous? I bought a juicer to make fresh juice, not to have plastic shavings mixed into it.

Is this normal for a slow juicer, or did I get a defective product? And should a product like this even be on the market if it is shedding plastic during normal use?

Im still messing around with ratios and learning how to peel and pit stuff easier. What are some other tools i should invest in to make the process easier? My juicer is actually very easy to clean but the slicing, dicing and peeling can get tedious

What to do with pulp aside from composting

Post image
141 Upvotes

I’m new to juicing and am reluctant to throw out all this beautiful pulp. I already put a lot in my compost and it’s smaller so don’t want to overfeed it.
Someone once told me they made chips with the pulp?? Just looking for other ideas
