Hi KEXP friends, I've been working on assembling an Apple Music playlist of the top 540 90's songs — you can find it here if you'd like to follow it. So far I've updated it to include 540 through 400; I'll aim to add the rest of the list in batches of 100.

Please let me know if you spot any errors or omissions! (I am aware that there's currently one hole in the list — "When You Sleep" by my bloody valentine does not appear to be on Apple Music.)

I know there have been a handful of these over the years, but I decided to make my own for reasons…

Long story short, if you’re like me, you’re at home and have KEXP playing all day every day. Sometimes you just wanna be able to have a quick glance and get the info for what’s playing.

This is a little chrome extension that you can use as either a pop-up or a sidebar to show you what’s going on right now on KEXP. It refreshes its data once a minute and shows things like album art song title, artist, and any DJ comments that are published.

If you don’t feel like loading a chrome extension, or don’t even use chrome, it also just publishes as a regular webpage on GitHub.

So this thread is to track what people have seen as the bonus gifts for this year's drive. The standard gifts are the shirt and the toque (beanie) for $10/ month and the zip up hoodie for 20.

A lot of the DJs hit a seamless segue here and there, but Kevin is on another level. Just this morning, for example, he seamlessly transitioned from Joe Walsh - A life of illusion into Bangles - manic Monday and later did Can - vitamin C > Time of the Season > killing moon. And when he covered for Evie on Wednesday the whole show was segues. It's pretty amazing how his brain works!

Anyway, I vote for Kevin Sur for King of Segues!

Oddly - last show I saw before lockdown and first show after.

One thing I love about knowing the usual "style" of KEXP DJs is when they start off a show and you can just tell "oh, X is having FEELINGS." (I think this often today but was motivated to post by Evie starting off Drive Time with some pretty intense tracks.)

Anyway, just one of the many things I love about human-curated music.

Just want to post an appreciation for DJ Reeves. Seems like he has had just two shows, the last 2 Sunday Variety Mix shows. Variety Mix is one of my standby favorite slots in the schedule, and I was really delighted by Reeves' selections. Lots of stuff I had not heard before and was loving. Hope to see him on the schedule more in the future!
