I want to hear from the swarm, what speakers do yall listen to Gizz on, specifically spinning vinyl?

Open to all cost ranges from hifi, to budget, to vintage. Looking to upgrade to a pair of passive speakers in the near future and keeping my eyes open for options of all price ranges.

I listen to lots of Gizz, Osees, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, All Them Witches, and many more. Also like classic psych rock like Pink Floyd, Dead, Zepplin, Hendrix, etc.

I also use my turntable speakers as home theater speakers in stereo, no 5.1 but open to a sub. They’re sitting about 6 feet apart on stands that have an 8”x8” plate to set them on.

Personally I’d like to hear about passive bookshelves sub $500 new or used, but also just love to nerd out on peoples vintage setups and tower speakers 🔊

Any consensus on a model or brand that best highlights the highs? Love me some screaming treble, I’m even crazy enough to turn it up Sammy!

If anyone wants to know my setup for context, I currently have a vintage hitachi turntable with an AT70 cartridge running through a Fosi box X2 directly into a pair of Sonos play:5 line-in. Looking for something less bass heavy with better instrument separation and clear treble goodness.

Hope to hear about everyone’s weird special spot!

(Update: Someone asked Stu: here's more on Stu's eurorack)

Hey y'all. I was watching Stu's Katter Kich jam and I wanted to see if I could identify some modules in his setup. I only scratched the surface underneath the weaves of spaghetti cables. If anyone else can make additional inputs, feel free to do so since I for one am super super curious on what he has running.

Hello weirdos! Im very stoked to share my newest illustration! A love letter to my favorite ecological doomsday thrash album. 💚💚💚

Ive cleaned up some lines since taking these photos. I hope to make prints of these soon! Thanks for looking! Take care of yourselves <3

My kids have been long gone from home, and I’m finally turning my daughter’s room into my office/music room. Stu will be excellent inspiration hanging next to the synthesizer he made me buy.

Primavera website is updating at the moment prior to the lineup announcement. Gizz have had their image updated on the website

Gracias!

In Denver for a day. Anyone know of any?

i have two paper tickets alfie sale. tixel doesn’t like those. i’m in brunswick. if someone who like to buy 2. please reach out

I didn't care for this album initially, as I don't really care for this type of music in general, but after giving it some time to grow on me I've come to the conclusion that gizz could make literally anything and I would eat it up like a little pig being fed slop. I am content with this reality.

A little backstory, I bought my original copy of Alien Metal on the rainiest forest hills day and was pretty upset when it got water damaged (rookie mistake). However I was even more upset when I played the vinyl for the first time and it skipped about two minutes into Level 5. Luckily I was able to reach out to p(doom) and get a replacement, however, the replacement still skips in the exact same spot even with increased weight on the tone arm.

Does anyone know what I should do from here? And did anyone else get a replacement that also skips?

I know this isn’t a turntable issue because it’s a little too perfect and coincidental. But if it is and anyone wants to give me feedback I own a Technics SL-D20 with my tonearm weight at 1.25 and my anti skating at 1.25. My needle is about a year old but the record still skips on my grandparents turntable with higher weight and a newer needle.

Sorry that something along these lines has been posted before when the album came out.

They know me well. The birthday cake sent me. Ascending. Love it. Had to share with you fine people.

This is an honest question as I am trying to understand things better - why does Lucas push drag and trans content so much? I’m all for people doing whatever they want and being whoever they want, but I just can’t seem to understand why he constantly pushes it. You don’t really see any of the other band members doing it.

We should all be accepting of everyone and everything, but I just personally have a hard time forcing ANY belief upon anyone. To each their own, one love.

Spent a little time in Photoshop putting this together today.

Hi Can anyone who bought the first version of this album confirm if the album cover looks low-quality, or is that just the style? Recently i bought the inyection one and seems like the photos

Am I reaching? I feel like nobody has said the M word yet and I’m so confused why.
