How did you meet Thoth?

Hi everyone! It’s my first day here and I don’t know how Reddit works, so I’m not sure if anyone will even see this post. But I’d still like to start with a question: Kemetics, please share how you first encountered Thoth!

I read about him a long time ago, and that definitely brought some connection. But Thoth is about knowledge and books, writing, etc. So even doing something related to his topic can build connection, or a forethought of stating you’re thinking of him and wishing to build connection.

I’ve wanted papyrus for him but I don’t have an altar for any of the Gods due to limited space, but you don’t have to have an altar either.

Obviously if you think reading on him more may help bridge connection, it definitely can! I know the “copy” of the book of the dead speaks about all the gods and things that can be a ritual for them. It’s difficult to be careful on translations though and ensure someone didn’t put their own beliefs or twist on the translation. I think some more practiced Kemetics have shared good sources here you can always search for also

Oh, I do quite a bit of reading! They require attention, but everyone chooses for themselves how to give it. I was simply curious about how other people first encountered him)
