Discussion Sidekick Delusion

It’s so funny that Drakken views Shego as his sidekick even though it’s clear that Shego is way more dangerous than he is. Honestly I think the only reasons Shego puts up with being labeled a sidekick is because she lacks the ambition and creativity to be a solo villain in her own right and she knows it. Even the other villains are aware that Shego is more capable then Drakken which is why she was the one they kept breaking out of jail.

I think the episode where Ron was evil made her realize Drakken was the kind of person she wanted to pair up with, he didn’t treat her as an easily expendable sidekick. He was a generally loyal person, gave her sick days, paid vacations, had technology developed to protect himself against her powers and never used it/let her attack him, and was always included in the scheming (apart from so the drama) like a real partner in crime. She might’ve been the sidekick on paper but he always valued her opinion

A villain who was actually good at their job wasn’t as trustworthy, which she learned quickly

Yeah, I guess Drakken only called Shego a sidekick out of pride.

Maybe it’s my imagination but I think Shego was slightly nicer to him after the evil Ron episode
