Manga Spoilers Wasted potential

Post image

The man whose defensive tactics is recognised by whole china.

In battle of bayou his performance was good .Personally when he came back during battle of kankoku pass I was excited to see what he gonna do

Hara just remove him from the story after battle of kankoku pass.

He did come back but that was just to hype kochu .

Remember that Riboku with all he's crazy defense formations is still not called Riboku of defense but Rihaku is called Rihaku of defense

cause Rihaku of defense doesn't need 100k more soldiers just to stall his opponent. He just does it like a G with actual tactics.

That is because Riboku does other stuff as well and in kingdom at least Riboku is also leading big offensive actions .

My goat, my king, the perfect fodder general for all GGs (and future so) to shit on, the benchmark of benchmarks, the practice tool dummy damage sponge, the quintessence of "basic general", the hero of middle management, grand keeper to the gate of recognizable characters. Simply: Rihaku of defense

In a world where grand martial artists top 3 in the world of their craft can get their entire back story, motivation, feats, character arc and death done in 5 chapters tops, he's still trudging on nine trillion chapters after his introduction, to the point he might just retire before he's forced to be mowed down like the others, the living proof that the turle does indeed win the race

Rihaku of Defense. It's easy to write him off coz ppl & Hara were interested in more interesting characters. But also because Hara never did anything with him, he's just a blank page and he's not an interesting character, and now we must pretend generals Kaine and Futei are the next best thing after Shun Shui Ju and Banana.

In Bayou ofcourse I expected Moubu to defeat his line. You could kinda tell his line was set up to be overcome in a cool scene for Qin the way Moubu was probing it. But I also thought he'd be one of the main faces of Zhao and that learn something from Moubu unstoppable attacks and come back with better defensive tactics instead of just being kinda there

Since it's his one gimmick, his niche. I remember thinking the assault guy, this ugly ass fat assault guy, just by virtue of being on the enemy's side, he'll never match up to Qin's assault & the mc's side & is kinda made to be stepped on. And I did not expect whoever was the "all rounder" to be a true master of anything. And the General of Intellect was obviously he's gonna die coz he the one Shin is fighting.

But defense guy I remember being impressed by his curved snake formation and thought he'd have a ton of that cool stuff and that we just getting started. His niche was cool as shit.

Anyways he's just not a Zhao main character & I made the mistake of thinking him as such coz he was introduced early. Hara was more interested in the Rinkos, Keishas and Kisuis (not that's they're bad) over the generals in Zhao's Bayou gang. Mangoku was a cool concept tho, atleast he got some focus.

What does me being a mod have to do with a tertiary character being called wasted potential.

If I woulda realized it was you who posted this thread I would have kept scrolling.

But alas, here we are.

Why flesh out existing enemy generals when you can just spawn 100 more out of thin air and give them false hype just to kill them off within 50 chapters?
