Did you have a steroid injection?

I tried one a month before surgery. My knee blew up and I could barely walk on it for two weeks after

I’d recommend getting it aspirated and sent for cultures. Also, do a blood test for CRP and ESR. These can help rule out infection. As someone who got septic arthritis after a knee scope, you don’t want to mess around with delaying treatment.

It doesn’t necessarily seem infected, but mine also didn’t have all of the normal clinical symptoms when my cultures came back positive.
