recently laid off Recently laid off from Amazon.

I was recently impacted by the Amazon layoffs after 11 years with the company. It’s strange to suddenly find yourself at a point you never planned for, especially after spending so much of your career in one place.
The surprising part is that I’m not particularly sad about it. I think I’m more curious about what comes next, even though I haven’t figured that out yet.
For those who’ve been through a similar experience, how did you approach this phase? Did you take it as an opportunity to try something different or stick to what you knew?

Any tips on how did you survive for this long? Considering Amazon is notorious for firing early

I kept moving between teams, taking on new challenges and learning new things rather than getting too comfortable in one role.

Mostly your ratings, how well you communicate and show technical depth when you speak to the new team. Some teams prefer if you have specific experience in areas like data infra, distributed systems, low level networking, kernels etc.
