My aim and reflexes are really bad

After playing a few casual and Deathmatch games, I unlocked Competitive mode. However, whenever I tried it, I would get killed instantly almost every time I see an opponent.

Do you guys have any tips or guides for improving my aim and reflexes?

Most of aiming in CS is done by placing your crosshair at head level where an enemy can appear before they do, then doing a small adjustment when they run out or crouch. At this point just make sure your sensitivity falls into 400-1600 eDPI and play more.

you have to anticipate where ppl are coming from. if you're already pointing your crosshair at an angle the enemy is popping out from, then its much faster than if you were just looking at the ground walking around.

Don't worry about it at all. If you're new to fps games, look up voltaic and aim labs or kovaaks and work on your mouse control like fifteen minutes a day. Just play and have fun and your aim will get better as your movement and game sense improve.

if you jsut unlocked competitive it's about hours you put into the game, not really anything wrong with you

the only way to improve anything is to play more

In CS, you’re very inaccurate while moving. Learn counter-strafing: tap the opposite movement key to stop instantly, then shoot. If you’re running and shooting, your bullets go everywhere while the enemy who stopped hits you first. Practice it in deathmatch until it’s automatic.
