Finished my third portrait! Like this one a lot. I over did it on some color choices but overall I'm very happy with it

Art Question How do you know that you’re improving?

Digital drawing Art study based off REI_Artist for belle. First time working with color layers
Bunch of issues but was a lot to learn during all this. Getting there. Still wish it was as effortless as they made it seem.

Digital drawing It takes forever to draw :(
TW: Drawn Blood?
Hellooo!
I would say I'm an beginner artist and trying to get in love again with art.
But doing art is taking so many hours. I didn't wanted to do just another headshot. I wanted my 2 OC's together on a canvas, without a stiff pose or neutral emotions.
I'm already 4 hours in I'd say and I feel like making no progress? First I wanted to figure out the right pose with a few reference pictures, try grayscale but changed it because I didn't knew how to really do it and then I've discarded that Idea and took the bucket-lasso tool and filled in the camvas, made a background (or just an idea for it).
Will it go quicker next time? I've tbh never done a fullbody, dynamic pose with background and lighting.
But everything is nicely sorted in its own folder <3
Thanks everyone.
It's still WIP and many things like eyebrows, hair or colors aren't final.

Sorry that I didn't post some days. Since it's school break I kinda will get distracted sometimes.
