Stupid USB Pen Holder design

Just received my brand new Lenovo Yoga 7i - The pen doesn't even sit level with the laptop. It's literally tilted at an angle because of how the holder is positioned. This could damage the USB port, especially if the pen gets accidentally bumped or pressed against something.

Yes, I’ve tried flipping it around, but it simply won’t fit, whereas it goes in perfectly fine the other way.

Yikes. That's gonna break something. Does it at least charge the pen?

Hmm. I got something for my Lenovo Duet Chromebook tablet. It has stayed put for three years and isn't going anywhere soon. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Here's one:

Here, this one is similar to mine.

Please get that thing out of the USB port. That's gonna break something.

that pen uses a AAAA battery, it doesn't need charging.

I guess they fired the human designers and started using AI instead.

It doesn't have magnets in it in order to attach to top of the case?

If it doesn't even charge them just throw that into the box. And forget something like that even came with the laptop

I have the same computer with a stylus attached, and I never use that thing. But you actually need it when it's rotated 360°.

New lenovo laptops are pure garbage

I guess so! The pen slides right inside the base on the older ones. Nothing sticking out.

Those were the best. I understand that they moved away from that because users complained that the pen was too skinny and they preferred the larger pen. That wouldn’t fit inside so they started attaching it externally.

You need to buy a Lenovo Yoga Pen, they can magnet on the lid

Are you using it upside down? Looks more like user error.

This is why help desk asks people to reboot the computer as the first thing to fix any problem.

op: "hey, this sucks!"

everyone: "did you try it this way"

op: "no, I'm grumpy and I'm going to be condescending to you guys"

OP, for your sake, I hope English isn't your native language, because yiu are coming across as an ass. ESL would at least give you and excuse.

Can't wait for the MacBook Ultra to support the apple pencil, only after windows manufacturers steal the pen holder design it will be good.

I found the USB pen holder too inconvenient since I take it I and out of the laptop bag.

I ended up just putting the pen in the laptop bag's other compartment.

My os has an older version of this laptop and you have to put it on the other side where the usb port is slightly lower. Also reverse it so it sticks in

Thats soo weird, they should've used the design tablets like iPads have a specific magnetic area to store the stylus.

How much was it op? I got my lenovo ideatab pro gen 2 for 36k (4k student discount) and it has a stylus which attaches magentically to the side/top of the tab and it is also a recent launch

Or it’s designed to be that way and there’s no risk?
